Stop skating when I have the puck Xbox One
I just got NHL 21 and the first bit of game play has a major issue.
When ever I have the puck my player stops skating. I know my controller works because I can see that it is registering my left stick movements with the targeted aiming on the net, and the skating is fine when I am not in possession. the issue occurred right off the bat. I played some tutorials/training sections and a couple games and the issue seems to be prevalent in both those situations.
As soon as I get the puck, my player just coasts. I can veer left and right using the left stick, but he just will not skate.
I tried restarting the console, running a scan for updates on the game, and even switching controllers. But nothing fixes the issue.
This issue occurs about 95% of the time, and a couple times I got the puck in the neutral zone and the player started skating fine, I figured the bug was fixed, but then as soon as I hit the blue line I started coasting into the Offensive end.
googling the issue I have noticed this was an issue with previous versions of the game, so EA, please fix this issue fast,

If you move the right stick while skating, you will go into a glide. Is this happening when there's no input on the right stick?
What system are you playing on? If it's Xbox, make sure your controller has the latest firmware update.
Sometimes my player will simply not react to Ls input from the moment they receive a pass. Every other function works. The only thing that resolves the bug is either passing or using L3 which seems to unfreeze the player.

Very useful to find out if there's something wrong in your controller.
Maybe PS has something similar too.
Like @EA_Aljo said, if there's a slight drift in your right stick, your player stops skating.
Just download it to your xbox and test, when you move your right stick and then let it free, does it always go exactly to center according to app?
I know my controller isn't broken because I use it for a variety of games.
What control scheme do you use? Skill stick, Hybrid or NHL 94?
