It’s been a bug since launch, and we’ve brought it up to EA for months. They’ve ignored it completely and I don’t think a fix is ever going to come. Not til nhl22... maybe
i love when some 66 overall player wants 1.5 million after being a fourth liner in the AHL. This game is so badly broken.
i just had a defensive D-man top 4 potential 79 overall play 68 games on the top line +11 2 goals 9 assists. Playing on average 24 minutes a game. the next year? 79 overall. How does that not warrant some growth. Being a top pair D-man and being a plus player, making it to the stanley cup finals, on the top line getting 7 points and being +6 in 20 games. 79 overall

Well obviously he peaked early ahahaha. Yeah I have noticed that before. One thing that always was a little weird was the player you drafted high, typically top half of the first round that either has amazing potential but is like 60OVR and never goes up even though you let them sit until you have to sign or release them, or the player you draft with good stats, rated 75OVR, has top 6 or top 4 next to their name but no potential somehow and like you have, never goes up and in my experience, even after a good season, regress
