I don’t recall ever being able to skate to the bench to make a change in any game mode other than in Be a Pro

The issue I have with line changes is often I’ll have 2 of 3 forwards change or 1 of 2 D change, and if the other line mate isn’t able to change within like 10-15 seconds they forget about it. The randomization is about the only thing that separates squad battles from weekly challenges. Beat the cpu 37 times on legendary for X Prize. I think the reason they’ve kept randomization is it gives the players that wouldn’t be able to finish top 100 in a skill based ranking the opportunity to finish 1st or top 10 etc.

They definitely tweaked things but I wouldn’t necessarily say they increased the difficulty. Pre patch I had been using a 65 overall goalie, as I found low overall goalies were just as good, likely better, than 84+ goalies. I’ve found that it doesn’t really matter what OVR team I play against, I end up having a really easy game, followed by a tougher game, then followed by an easy game, and followed by a tougher game. Etc Now whenever I have a ~15-0 game, I go do a quick daily challenge and let the juiced up AI wear itself out. Then I go back…

Because coins are constantly being added into the game, through games played, packs, rewards, etc.. The auction tax (and sets for unreadable cards) takes coins out of the game to help slow inflation.
