Play on Rookie to rinse the bonus requirements. Then switch to a higher difficulty level and start monotonously using big body checks, the windmill deke, and backdoor passes until I can get to the point that I hit "Return to Hockey Ultimate Team" and watch as the game freezes and needs to be restarted.

Oh, I've got another one. It's more of an "I see where you're going with this and I don't like it" one, though. "You MUST play online" objectives. Don't start with that nonsense. FIFA already does it and it absolutely bites. I see you've snuck a "Get a shutout win in Rivals" one into the Moments promo objective list. Given…

Ground it out to get the top reward in the current HUT Rush and I'm not feeling the value when the best choice in the NHL Players Choice Pack was an 83 Matt Dumba. I mean...come on, EA...they're untradeable cards. You could loosen up the purse strings for a whole 10 seconds every now and again.

Being able to trade them to other people might be OK. But being able to trade them at all would kill the market. People would eventually stop buying cards during periods when the cards are untradeable because they know that prices will be lower when the market is flooded with supply during the periods when the untradeable…

Probably, yes. But you used to get those players to roll for a collectable AND you would get an icon collectable as a tier 20 reward. Then, one week, just as the more interesting icon upgrades (which require stacks of icon collectables) started to appear, the 55k worth of icon collectable was replaced with a 15k…

Yes, it is. If ONE person is sat at the 1hr mark looking for items, he can snag one the second it appears. Now bear in mind that there are probably at least a few dozen people doing it at any given time of day. it isn't "rigged."

When someone has an opinion that differs to yours, they aren't necessarily trying to be a contrarian. Maybe they just actually have an opinion that differs to yours. That is possible, you know? And with respect, it isn't an obsession. There are about 10 posts on this board a week. Isn't hard to read them and remember them.…

I think this is the key issue. It will absolutely never go away. You could make a ten-hour presentation showing the code. You could have a high-level developer explain line by line what the code is doing. You could get PriceWaterhouseCoopers to put a team of auditors in place to verify that there's no DDA or tilt going…

With all due respect, I didn't put words in your mouth. I was talking in generalities. And "assumptive and negative comments"? Really? Nope. You can judge a horse pretty well by the races it has run. Across your last few topics, you've called the developers lazy, accused them of catering only to sponsored pros, mocked them…

I totally agree with you that it would be interesting, but the "eat them alive" part is what would happen. Even if they completely explained something and it made total sense, there would still be somebody shouting that they're all idiots because they lost a game once and it didn't feel fair.
-
But they don't owe you an explanation or any sort of conversation. In fact, they don't even owe you a forum or community managers. You bought the game. You can play the game whenever you want. That's where your ownership of the product ends. I know everybody these days thinks that their opinion is the only truth in the…

Instead of trying to argue about whether scripting exists for the millionth time, why don't we take another route? Why don't we just - for a second - 100% assume that scripting DOES exist, and work out how to beat it? To do that, we'll have to work out how the people who go unbeaten and get the maximum points in squad…

Erm...I never argued that the 94 MSP was a bad thing. Like, not even once. I even said that I like the concept and I welcome it, but you've ignored that. Although yes. 27 hours is a lot. It's more than a full day of your life, no matter how you split it up. For one player out of the 19 you'll need to run a squad. You were…

Probably not many. I mean, I'll try it, but I prefer hockey to baseball. As I imagine the vast majority of people who are still playing NHL six months after launch do. People aren't suddenly going to forget about hockey and become hardcore baseball fans because a baseball game that first came out in 2006 and has been…

Yes, which is why I asked a question to determine what those other options may be. Absolutely no idea why you're doing the "APPARENTLY you're a coder" bit. Has nothing to do with this. And there's no "apparently" about it, anyway. I am. It's my job. On top of that, a coder would be more likely to consider more options, as…

Being able to get a card through gameplay: LOVE THAT STYLE! Sitting here with 22 untradeable GCs that I saved so I could flip them for a tradeable player and having to wait a minimum of another two weeks to do it: FASHION EMERGENCY!
-
Actually, they aren't. It isn't a bug if it's working as the developer intended.
-
Have you actually looked at his argument? Look, I like the concept of getting the 94msp through gameplay and absolutely welcome it, but his point still stands. That 94MSP is ONE player. And it takes 82 SB/Rivals/Champs matches to obtain. At 20 minutes per game, you're looking at over 27 HOURS of gameplay to obtain just one…

And his point still stands because he said "there's enough players to build a collectible still." Which is true. You'll more than likely get enough players from playing Rush to be able to build a collectible. It sucks that they took the icon collectable out at the end, but Z0mbieBabyJesus is still correct in what he's…
