Well, EA makes money as long as you are a bit disconent with your team. If the vast majority is satisfied with their team no one will buy packs. Packs that generate gross profit for EA. I think people would spend more if: - AI was even - Power Play actually mattered - Skill and rating mattered

This deservers it's own topic. Agree to 100%.

This! We ant it to be a skill game. Not an random AI-game.

This guy gets it. Save your money people.

My tip is; Don't play HUT. Go play EASHL. EASHL is the only fair and balanced gameplay in EA NHL. HUT = Money grabber
-
I've played HUT for years at the top level.
-
I've played the game for years and usually play in Tier 1. I'm not guessing. It's obviously flawed gaming mechanic, but awesome for money making.

EA want's you to be satisfied with your team for a while. But they don't make any money with conetent gamers hence your team will start sucking after a while: - Easy tap ins will be instant misses. - McDavid will skate in molasses after being fast as lightning the previous game - Tape to tape passes that seems easy as…

DId not buy this game since I always felt it was indeed rigged in HUT. Came in to the forum to see if there where any posts on this for 19. Sure was! Saving my bucks.

What EA fails to understand is that slumps should be a result of the actual human-players day to day shape. It should NOT be an implemented mechanic where we loose control of the game. I was always sick and tired of people writing stuff like "EA are just after money" and such, but after 20 years of playing EA NHL it's…

The gamemechanic want's you to be unsatisfied with your team. This way you'll spend money to get a new "better" card. EA is the worse. If there'd be another hockey game I'd be all over it.

This!! HUT is a moneymaker. Discontent players pay real money for fake stats. The game is programmed to make you want to use money to improve your team. But nothing really changes. Sickening!!
-
They make money from HUT, hence make money if you are discontent with your team and buy packs. DC doesnt have this incentive to make gamers unsatisfied and thus plays better and has a logical outcome.
-
I think you guys are 100% right.

I can only agree. Read more about others experience here: https://forums.ea.com/en/nhl/discussion/81796/examples-of-hut-suspected-balancing-engine

@eyebrowz84 Fair enough. But yet again the question arises, why does this not occur (atleast with the same frequency) in VS. or EASHL? Making an invisible slider for AI related to the teams stats would not be an all to difficult task. Say that team A has an average stat of 85 and team B 92, then team A's AI gets a 15%…

@Youratv do you have a link to this info? @Casinator39 After 5 years of the same **** I guess I had enough! ;) @BlakeLeafsx11 even if it should proof to be random, it has no buisiness in an online competative game. Let the players skill decide the outcome of games, not some shady in-game mechanics. If I loose a game I want…

You are a good player, no doubt. And as such you are not very representable for the average players experience of the game. As I explained above "In your head" does not give us a full explanation. It does not take in to account that Balancing Mechanics are not experienced in VS. nor in EASHL. Why would our minds only…

Why do you guys bring up the skill question? He won Div 1. What is the point in challenging him? What does that prove? Time and time again, skilled players (and others) notices the same thing. The game is flawed. A stacked team behaves worse than a mediocre. They don't always loose, but they act worse. How is that in any…
