I admit I have nearly maxed out on neighbours, nothing wrong with that. I spend at least an hour of my day visiting each and every one sending, hearts etc....

Over the last 2 days I have only had about let's say a maximum of about 20 friends visit my town, I know I am more than likely to be last on the list of friends due to alphabetical order but that's wrong. My heart hurts because only a few are showing and sharing the love!!!!!!

I am seriously considering deleting the ones that don't return hearts, does anyone else feel they have stingy neighbours or is it just some of mine lol ???

Saying that I would like to thank the ones that do make the effort xx

Forum contributors need to stick together. I sent you a request from my main town (part of my forum username is in the title) if you need someone good. I visit daily. Archi is already a friend.

Yes, it does, and yes, I do. Most of them don't seem to buy any of the items.

I have 100 friends, so I can't keep track on who sends me hearts or not, it's not like I really care though, having 1,000+ and hating all of the decorations.

It's odd - new friends or newer players visit me more frequently than some established players. There are exceptions, of course, like a few people in this thread! Thank you! But I do find it odd that some just collect hearts and never visit. I guess they figure they have enough $ and hearts and don't want to waste their time.

I try to visit daily, providing I don't have server issues. Otherwise, I visit when I can connect. I used a lot of hearts decorating, so I don't have 4000 of them. LOL! I'm just building up a decent amount now, wondering if there will be a Valentine's update that requires more hearts. If not, I'll be like everyone else come Feb. 27/28 - wondering if I should stock up on rose bushes and other items or not.

Urgh that sucks. I think if a friend doesn't visit you once in three days just delete them. Not worth the space IMO.

They could have reasons though so I dont rush to delete people. I have been having real trouble loading neighbours and often when I get there there are no valentines to click to leave. I bet I have lost some friends over it but it cant be helped. I look for if they have an active town and signs that they are playing.

I know hearts are important to the cause of V-Day, but so are the XP. So whether they have time to visit as much as you do, just collect what you can from their towns. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)

The thing I'd stock up on is trees, though I hate how dumb and useless everything is, just a waste of time to get 1,000+ hearts.

Btw about your observation about newer players visiting more, they most likely have less friends, so more time to visit the friends they have, whereas I have more friends, more money and less tasks, and I don't spend as much time on the game.

Yeah that's what I meant. If it says they are donut happy within the last hour but you haven't seem them within the last week, it's time to go!

I'd like to, but it's a little late in the event to hold a grudge. Most people have what they were after by now. I should have taken action earlier. Though, I will take it into account when I get around to trimming my list down.

I’m kind of with lollytroll. I try to wait until people have Valentine’s available before I collect. For some people that may be a day or two – since people from all over the world play this game we don’t really know what their internet connectivity looks like. I know here in the U.S. we take wi-fi for granted sometimes.

I don’t know if you and I are neighbors (I’ll check), but my wi-fi is down at my house and I can’t afford a new router until I get paid Friday. So that’s put me off collection and visiting times a little. I’m off to a local coffee shop now to do work…which really translates to visit all my neighbors.

But that number is really low for a large number of neighbors.

I should be getting 300 hearts from vday cards in my town alone everyday plus the Hearts i get from visiting my friends. That never happens i usually get around 250 hearts per day (on avg) So that includes me visiting friends as well, and I have 100 friends. It all really just comes down to timing i check my springfield as much as i can the only time it can get filled up with hearts is when im sleeping but it rarely does. Iv had one or two times where I have come back into the game after an hour or two and my town is filled up completely with vday cards and im just shocked at how fast it filled up.

As for me I visit daily but if you dont have any vday cards i check 4-5 times a day and if your town still doesnt have any cards I dont bother clicking the houses I just wait to click on vday cards, as they appear.

I chopped my friends list down to about 70 because of the lazy ones (and yes, they were lazy because they were logging in every day). Out of that 70 only around 30 are active so I only make the effort to visit those people. The funny thing is most of the 'lazy' ones are the ones added from the Valentine's Add Me threads with the exception of a few.

The only people I leave hearts for that I don't mind if they don't visit are those with the W-Z usernames since most people usually get fed up by the time they reach there on their list.

Ugh- I was just thinking the same thing myself this morning. I have exactly the same problem- nearly maxed out with 'friends', yet am visited by maybe 20. I have all of my characters on hourly tasks (not that I always remember to go back on an hourly basis!), and try to pick up my valentines so when people visit, they can collect valentines too.

I also visit everybody's town on a daily basis- often multiple times if there aren't any valentines. It's surprising how many seem to be concentrating on building huge house farms, and don't seem to care about anything else. I'm going to be deleting them. And looking for new friends! Surprisingly, a number of my non-visiting neighbors have multiple premium items...

I'm not trying to portray myself as the Best Neighbor Evaar, but I DO take a lot of pride in my town, even if I don't spend real $$ on it. My only premium item is Lard Lad, which I saved up for and got as a result of the Santa coins-into-donuts promo. Which is why I'm so gung-ho about the hearts... I know it's not a given that EA will do the same thing, but it can't hurt to be prepared if they do.

I visit my neighbours daily and I can see that you do that too, Willowbud! :) I think I am lucky, because most of my nb visits back. Sometimes if I have short of time and I don't find enough hearts I tapp on houses and they do that too. Then of course I can't see who.

I also have " the time" set different, so that I tapp some nb's in the morning and some after work, some before I go to sleep. Taking the game too serios, me? 8)

My wifi is down at my house right now so I can't really get a stable enough connection to visit many friends. Then once I try to I'll hit several towns in a row without getting any hearts.

More or less the friends that I do visit are more out of checking out towns and trying to be a decent neighbor that attempting to gain hearts or money. Maybe they should have kept it to where it benefits you and your neighbor equally.

Between that and the lack of money involved I think a lot of the blame on the apathy is on the programming changes and not the players.
