Which item best to get?

Hi.
Trying to figure out which new items to get. Between the cave, the tree or the historical society? Guess it comes down to which item is the best to get more if.. the shovels. The fossils or the specimens????

Ok so I'd choose the historical society because it comes with a character also it drops 270 specimens every 4 hours. The tree drops fossils every 4 hours and the cave helps booberella earn 4 shovels with 208 fossils.
Not sure what the cave drops as I don't own that one.
