How many shovels are you saving for Act 2?

Although the event has just started, has anyone else been thinking about getting a head start in Act 2? I'm probably going to save all 199 shovels for the next act as long as I can get all the Act 1 prizes! What about you? :D

Hmm, thanks for bringing that up. I feel like I'm doing exceptionally well at digging so I may win all prizes like halfway through? I might do that.
Here is my signature. Or maybe it's not.
  • By the time I've finished Act 1 I'll probably have 199 ready for Act 2.

The shovels carries to Act 2? I better start savings. Thanks @Echo0006

One would assume that the shovels would carry over. Unless EA switches the shovels to something like brushes since the next phase is Egypt and brushes could be used to remove sand.

I will go for all the prizes first before any hoarding takes place.

Interesting thought. It never really crossed my mind...I just thought that the shovels would carry over! We'll have to ask LPN if they do or not!

And the pirate phase could be something like scuba tanks too. But I would highly doubt EA changes the shovels.

I will start saving shovels once I have all the prizes. It should delay my want to spend donuts on shovels.
  • I don't think the shovels will change - otherwise there's no point in having such a large reserve possible. What I wonder is whether any excess gems you get in the first act will be credited towards the second act, or will you start from scratch again?
  • I'm planning on digging until I get the 48 gems. I figure by then, we will have an answer on whether it is wise to save shovels.

As soon as I get the last prize I'm going to stop digging until I save up 199. Then I will just dig to use what I earn over 199 so as not to waste them.

    Interesting, I would be saving 199 :D

  • I'll save as many as I can toward the limit, but since the pattern's effectiveness has stalled in my game, I doubt I'll get Baby T-Rex much before the end.
  • None. Hoarding is not my style.
  • None. Hoarding is not my style.

It's pointless to use them after getting the T-rex. All accumulated gems are lost at the start of Act II, at least what I've seen.

What is the point of having such a higher limit to begin with?
  • Easier to make donuts, also no limits.
  • Why worry with endless shovels? :|

    Bob's your uncle.
  • Wouldn't it be better to dig to finish Act 1 even though you already got baby trex?
  • If I can complete act 1 early I assume I will do the same for Act 2 so saving shovels is pointless. Usually we get free donuts for continuing after all the prizes are obtained. I never pass up free donuts
