About to try logging in from my iphone 5...first time as I only play on ipad...and I get the alert that "my Springfield didnt save on my other device, log in to that one first"

What happens if I don't log in?

Scrap that: managed to log in on iPhone 5 after 15min wait and luckily got the Donut bonus....spent 30mins racking up over 1000 donuts.
Sadly, I have everything so bought a load of police cars. Not logged back in yet on any device to see if I can / donuts remain

I've been stuck with harp for days, continually leaving it "harp" then it'd just crash. Finally today it loaded a screen that said I already have a level 6 town on this device (not true I was maxed out). So I deleted app and reinstalled.

After reinstall, game was restored back to normal - although I lost all current XP and started at 0XP Level 26.

    No donut bonus either.

Wonder if your tweet worked and they are fixing it and they started with you since they had your username. I just tried to remove and reload though I didn't get the new level 6 town screen you did.

Yeah not sure if that is what worked, but literally about an hour after I tweeted at the EA exec my game worked... coincidence?

EDIT: Look at new topic - was fixed by tweeting the exec.

have been trying on ipad 4 and iphone 5 since the beginning (as well as ipad 1, 2, 3 and iphone 4, and 4s). always crashes at the 14 minute mark no matter what platform or ios version I am running. Though it would never hurt to try as all you will lose is 15 minutes of time.

Someone reported with an iPhone 5 that it went for 30 minutes and then unlocked - the iPhone5 and iPad4/iPad Mini have double the RAM of the iPad 3/iPhone 4s/iPhone 4.

So if you know someone with one of the latest generation iOS devices, ask to borrow it for a half an hour and load up your springfield!

Yes, THIS! Days of trying on my iPad 2 with nothing but harp freeze and crash. The second try on a co-worker's borrowed iPhone 5 and I was in with an insane donut bonus loop. I would say it most likely has to do with available RAM, or lack thereof on older devices.

Now if I could just get the forum mods/gods to approve my avatar here, I'd be stylin'!

EA states that they are working on resolving the problem.... anyone know about how long this took to resolve the last time the harp freeze was around?

The thing that is so frustrating is EA seems to go dark on their end with no explanation, no acknowledgement and no solutions. This harp thing has got to be on their end in their servers - it's not the fault of our devices. I have two towns / accounts - the reason for two is I was locked out last summer for the very same reason - but I can access one town and not the other. If my iPad was to blame, I should not be able to access either - wouldn't you think?

My only regret is that I started to spend real money on this game, thinking this performance was solved, and now I wish I hadn't

    iPhone 5 = 1Gb RAM
    iPad mini = 512Mb RAM

Try a device with a gig of RAM in it (this is different from storage)

iPad 4th gen = 1gb ram. But hasn't worked for me yet, keeps crashing to home screen. Im beginning to think it's all a hoax! No bonus glitch, and those that sat there tapping the screen for 20-30 mins...there is a prankster LOL'ing his **** off at you. haha

I don't really have the ability to go out and buy a new device. Anyone having any luck that doesn't involve spending money? I have restarted, reinstalled, tried 2 devices, and still the harp.

I didn't spend a dime, I borrowed the iPhone 5 (as I described). You could always hit up the Apple store and mess with their display models if you're really desperate. I sat there for 4 days on my iPad 2, opening, crashing, closing, opening over and over again. Nothing worked until the iPhone 5.

I also don't have a neverending supply of friends with iPhones that will loan me their phone. This option does not work for me. No one has an answer to help me, so I'm done asking, and I'm done playing this game. I'll just eat my last donut purchase and I will never play an EA game again.

I finally deleted then reinstalled the game, it got rid of the harp freeze but now I'm on the never ending loop of logging in and getting the " your device didn't save, you need to log into that device" then you hit okay or play anyway. I always hit okay and then it cycles through. I'm afraid to hit the play anyway and end up losing everything.

Also I sent an email on Sunday and still haven't gotten a response. So frustrating!
