What, they deleted that thread? Wow touchy mods aren't they, nothing wrong with poking fun.
Ironically my post in the anatomy and vulgarity thread (and other posts that quoted it) are still there, and not so much as a warning. Maybe the mod is off on weekends?
If not, those who were banned must have been previously warned or done something REALLY bad that I missed! :shock:

There seems to be this idea floating around that this forum, which EA has pretty much treated with benign neglect since its inception, is suddenly rife with so-called "secret" moderators actively ferreting out all manner of posting badness. Anything's possible, but I really doubt it. A more likely hypothesis (in my opinion) is that the recent spate of bannings and thread deletions are the result of EA moderators responding directly to abuse flags submitted by users. That is, EA isn't proactively looking for potential TOS violations; they're merely responding in their typically mindless fashion to reports of abuse. It doesn't matter to EA that these flaggings are largely childish, *-for-tat reprisals that stemmed from the late arguments between user factions with different views on what kind of a forum this should be. All of which is to say that if you're looking for someone to blame, it ain't EA. For the most part, we brought this on ourselves.
Well a thread was posted with the link for the new board and was quickly "altered".. So it's likely an invite-only kinda thing... So I guess We Commoners just don't really care which cool people couldn't abide by the simple rules and got themselves banned.
