I go in to all my friends and try to collect hearts, but they're not always available to give, and please don't forget that this is their game to, they can just collect from money buildings. They're not playing to keep you happy.

You'd be correct if buildings were tapped in the absence of valentines cards. But the number of 'shaking hands' are rare. The lesson learned is (as in 'real life') that it's not quantity of friends that counts but quality.
