It was part of the Halloween event. Maybe one day in the future EA will have the limited time buildings available for donuts, but nobody knows for sure.
I'm of the strong opinion that most, if not all, previous limited time items will return during the appropriate holiday for donuts this time. Why would EA pass the chance to make extra money on new suckers that got addicted after the holidays? They overcharge so much on donuts that they would love to get the additional sales. And since they were already created, there is very little overhead in adding it back in. All the work is done. They can basically sit back and collect more money from us suckers and addicts.

I don't see them returning "limited time" buildings. They have about 24 years worth of content they can make...

If they believe there will be buyers, it'll return. It costs money on their end to create and design new buildings. There is no overhead if they recycle the same crap. It's all profit for them. If they are smart businessmen, they would bring it back for donuts. If they are not business savvy, they won't.

No offense, but I agree with Josh on this question. First of all, as he points out, why the heck would they not offer it? What would they lose? Nothing. And by withholding it until the next Halloween update, they artificially increase demand, which might allow them to bump up the building's price. Second, I know you were engaging in a bit of hyperbole, but this game ain't going to last 24 years. Maybe three. At some point either the revenue stream will start to tail off or the platform resources will no longer sustain the continued content drops; when one or both of those events occur, EA will shut down the TSTO servers.
yeah some players got it at the right time, if anything, they'll release it for donuts, but drop the story around it. I don't see them adding it in next OCT when there have been millions playing since last sept.

I meant the show has about 24 seasons already that they can create content from. Also, don't you think by releasing old items again they're losing out on profit from millions who already have those items? If they constantly create new content then they have the potential of everybody wanting it, not just new players. And in regards to overhead, I doubt it takes them a lot of money to create a building based on something from the show that's already made anyways.
Of course they will add new content. The point is that the same update will almost certain have the recycled stuff in addition. Takes no effort to put back what was already created, and they get new buyers now (those who missed it the first time around). Then they have new content for everyone to win and/or purchase in addition. And it does take game developers to create these characters and buildings. Then it takes others time and effort to implement them seamlessly into this game. It all costs money.
Correct. It's wholly possible I'm wrong and that stuff is gone forever. But boy would that be foolish from a business perspective. Typically businesses want to make money rather than passing on it.
They've already got enough content that I can't afford.... Also 24yrs of content would destabilize it to the point of uselessness. I like it when they go slow & stable....
Lol wow I never said they should add 24 seasons worth of content at the same time.. That's insane. My opinion is that by re-adding a limited time item you are essentially devaluing the item. Hey I wasn't able to afford the Kang spaceship and I also passed on the scratchy balloon. Would they be nice to have now that I have enough donuts? Sure, but I know I wouldn't value it as much getting it the second time nor would those who already have it.
Ea cares about one thing and that is how to make MONEY and lots of it. Since there is now a new market of android users who only took part in the valentines event it would be lucrative for EA to offer the previouse event buildings to them at some point or another. It makes little to no work for them and they make money. That's how corporations work folks. Don't believe that your in some special group cause you got "limited" time items they don't care about you or how disenfranchised you might feel cause they rereleased one time only content. If there's a market for it they'll exploit it. That's just the way things are.

This is right. 'Limited time' doesn't equal 'One-time only'. It's marketing speak. How many times has McDonalds or some other fast food company released a new burger as 'limited time' and then brought it back at a later date?

thank you i will wait patiently for halloween
Sorry, but I doubt they'll repeat themselves. I'm sure they will add all new Halloween stuff and buildings rather than repeating.
I've got to agree here, they might do it with donuts but its very unlikely they'll do anything else or integrate it into a quest, sorry.
