Can't tell you precisely but, it does earn money and has tasks assigned to characters for it.

What's Springfield without a Lard Lad?
Might as well be Shelbyville...... 8)

Lard Lad counts as a restaurant or eatery and helps earn star credit for gluttony and consumerism, but Lard Lad ain't cheap. My greatest complaint about Lard Lad is the lack of character interaction with the building. I believe only two characters (Homer and Chief Wiggum, or is it Squeaky Voiced Teen?) interact with that building. And, even then, only for very short intervals. I love Lard Lard. He's such a unique looking building in amongst all of the houses, but they've got to start making more characters interact with him.

In retrospect, maybe we all need about 5 or 10 Lard Lads in each of our towns. He is pretty cute.

My gluttony was down, but I bought a gulp-and-blow and now I have the 5 wonderful stars, I'm surprised my socialism hasen't gone down because I have been a bad neighbour and not visited my friends in roughly 6 days  :(

It's not SF w/o Lard Lad. But I think even with Lard Lad, you might still have to double up on one of the Krusty's or GNBs to get 5 stars. I might be wrong since the game has added a few more eateries recently.

I have one of everything and only have 4.5 stars. So, yes, you will need one more of the three fast-food places.
