I will keep checking this forum as you guys talk way more sense than anyone at EA has. Until i read otherwise, I've given up and uninstalled after at least 6 years of playing. Level 939 and untold hours gone. Such a shame. Good luck people.
Wish I saw this post a while ago. My game has been broken since December 2017 and I get the same run around. I have opened two tickets and most of the support techs don't even read what I included in it. I keep giving into the doughnuts because I feel I have no other recourse. I even asked if they could run a script or database analysis and all i get is, it could be rolled back, it was reported as a bug, post it to the forums, and do you want the doughnuts? Its frustrating, I have put to much into the game to loose it all. My IRS is broken, I never completed the Burns money pile with the crane and now the crane is gone. I cannot select the characters in the top left and Act 2 Plunderer Pete's is hosed. I am sure the techs have a huge amount of tickets and I feel sorry for them but come on EA fix the game and reduce their workload!

I dont feel sorry for them. ITS THEIR JOB! If they dont like it, Walmart is always hiring!

Well......as of 20 minutes ago.....I have now been hit with this glitch 11 times over the last 10 months.......another EA phone call....another roll back......
As of 4 minutes ago, I am not on 12th time being hit (second time this week alone)......and that includes 4 days break where I didn't play at all.
So yet another call to EA....ANOTHER Roll back.....

Yes....all exactly the same, but with 1 1/2 exceptions.
Each time it revert back to the Bigclaw event (which I completed at the original time of the event). But once out of the 12 times it reverted back to the Space event (which was during a break I took from the game so I never even started that one).
Since the 18th Amendment / St Patrick's Day event (which I was not able to complete due to multiple hits from this glitch), this event will be live again as well. Since this event this has been included along with teh Bigclaw event without exception with each glitch hit.

Actually I am not as Saintly as I might appear (though I don't mind that rumor to continue to grow)..........the frustrating part was in the beginning figuring out what was really going on and what were the real fix options ..........i.e. getting around all of EA's avoidance tactic, stalling practices, diverting attention statements, and flat out lies (like just post in this forum and it will get fixed), etc....
Now that I know a roll back is needed and is only refused if an EA rep is stupid, lazy, or lying (or all 3)....I simply request a phone call during normal business day on Weekdays to get an American EA rep and request a roll back to a few hours to 1 day ago and 20 min later I am playing again.
So now it is annoying but not a major deal it used to be, especially since I can call the stupid, lazy, or lying reps out real time and demand they do what I know they ABSOLUTELY can do...... roll back my game in under 5 min to just a few hours ago.

Yes. They say that to get rid of you. This supposed patch has been "right around the corner" for a long time now

Yes....do not accept their boiler plate copy and pasted canned answers. They can do a roll back while you are on the phone. IF they refuse they are stupid / lazy / lying (or all 3). While remaining polite.... BE FIRM and insist to do a roll back NOW before you get off the phone.

Ok. I contacted EA a few times with the result that none of them wanted to roll back my game, although I said it explicitly. In the end, my case was forwarded to the "studio". My question is, does the "studio" a roll back (although the consultants did not do it) or is it really putting the variables in order? Or is this again a "distraction" from the actual problem? I know a person who could do this (I believe with the help of a script), but I do not know if I should do this, because EA keeps an eye on my game. Another small additional info (if it is important): I am from Germany and contact thus the German support.
I recently got hit again. However, the strange part is I have given up on EA permanently fixing it and am just playing once or so a day now. I am playing "broken", but I logged in today and got the whole old event and gil messages. Everything is already broken and nothing changed, but I thought it was strange that those messages popped up again when I have not had anything "fixed".

There may be exceptions, but in general a referral to the “studio” is a dead end — another strategy designed to get rid of complainants. If an EA rep refuses to perform a roll back, you’re talking to wrong rep.
