  • @Gary_A_D ..... you do have to have a decent amount of free memory on your device or it will get laggy. I have a top of the line Android tablet, but I use a memory manager to flush out my memory just before I load the game.

Every time I forget to do that, my game is VERY laggy, many time with the game freezing for short periods of time. If I closed the game, flushed my memory, then loaded it again 30 second later, all is working smooth and fine again.

Especially the bigger your town gets, the more characters you have, etc... the more memory you need to have free on your device when you launch it.

And it is ALSO highly recommended that you have at least 1 GB free of storage space too for temp files needed while the game is playing.

Hi I’ve been playing for weeks now and I’m not progressing in the storyline. Can anyone help
I assume you mean the storyline and quests near the start of the game - what level are you, and what is the last level building you placed in your town? A quick note - level 43 takes place in Krustyland and must be started to progress with level 44 in Springfield.

  • And there I was thinking I had hope. After a month and a half waiting "Aaron" came back and said "I'll roll back your game". Told him the 25th of march...he rolled back. Still same problems. I said "ok didn't work can you go back to the 22nd?"....and I got this....

"Thank you for the reply, well thats not cool at all, I was hopeing they had got it resolved. Rolling it back again will not fix it either unfortunately.Go ahead and contact oyur live support and start a new case and inform them of the steps we have done. Sorry mit didnt fix your issue.

I also want to make sure that you have all of our self-help resources on hand in case of any future issues. We have an extensive knowledge base full of troubleshooting located at help.ea.com, and is always where I start if I’m having a problem in my EA games. You can even join the conversation with fellow players and our Social advisors at answers.ea.com, ea.com/forums, or the official social media pages for any of your favorite EA titles. I've personally found a lot of solutions that I use by going the official pages for the games I play and talking with other players that fixed similar issues on their own. That said, we want to help keep your EA games running as smoothly as possible for you, so please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you run into any new problems later on"

Why bother? It's all lip service isn't it? I really have given up all hope now. Good luck to you all but I'm past caring now.

So after all that time, they dumped you back here. Ugh. So sorry they did this to you. EA continues to repeatedly hit new lows!

  • Has anyone had the problem where after the latest update tapped out deleted your high level anonymous account (over level 100) and then made you start again at level 1? I tried making an EA account in order to recover my old springfield as it suggested on some forums but all it did was tell me that I had a level one account on this device and not show my high level account. Can anyone advise me on how I can recover my old springfield.

I don't believe it is possible to recover. I suspect that a cleaning program reset your cache for the game. If that is gone you are back to square one
  • WTH? My game fid an update, logged me out and now I can't log back in. I reset my password to no avail. Even weirder, I got an email letting me know I had two options a roll back or a new Springfield. Coincidence or something more devious???

First off, delete and reinstall will fix the log out issue.

Second, dont take a template town until you know exactly what that entails. A couple of people here took that optionb and were less then happy with the results

  • Yet another email from EA What have I done to deserve this????

"Thank you for contacting EA. My name is Rishabh & I am following your case today.

First of all I really appreciate your patience for the length of time you have been waiting for a response. Regarding your concern of repeated game glitches I would like to let you know that I have applied a level 939 template land to your email : t*********@hotmail.co.uk.

So I would like to request you please make sure that you will wait at least 2 hours before logging back in. You just need to tap " Play now" and " continue" to accept the changes made to your land.

I can see you are a passionate player, so I really don't want your gaming experience to be ruined. I have also added 50 donuts as a good will gesture to your account for the trouble so far."

They've applied a template town without my permission!! I've never said I wanted a template town...why would I want that after all this time??? I feel like they've nuked my Springfield. I'm not logging in and accepting it and I've asked for a roll back in the hope they can reverse this ridiculous decision. I hold little hope.

That’s incredibly disturbing. It’s certainly one the worst examples of EA customer support I’ve heard of. I hope you can still get this resolved to your satisfaction.

So, I accepted a rollback at the cost of losing about 4 months of progress, but getting comped with donuts.

I was lucky to get support from a very understanding and friendly agent. That helped make me feel better. I'm still angry at EA as a company though, and for a number of reasons other than this particular SNAFU.

In a way I'm happy to be rid of some of the items from the last events, because the amount of free land tokens versus the unlockable content created a mess with buildings shoehorned into wherever they would fit, whereas I want to keep my Springfield reasonably sensible and clean in its layout. But I do miss some of the unlockables, such as Guy Incognito.

Fortunately, I hadn't bought that much premium content during the events but only things I absolutely wanted, and could afford with bonuts.

The way things are now is that I will probably keep playing the game every now and then just for fun, but stay away from events in case the bug hits again. It might be a blessing in disguise because the events get a bit stressful.

The moral of the story, and I wish I could go back and tell myself this back in February when I was struck by the bug; accept a roll back post haste and accept losing some content, rather than waiting and losing a lot.

Many were not given an option to do a rollback and were asked to wait. Until finally they were told the solution is to do a rollback.
