  • They have absolutely no respect for the players. Glad I never spent money on the game.
  • I also have all the same problems as the posts above. Actually stopped playing at the moment as it's too tedious where i can't locate certain characters without them having a quest.

    I also contacted EA. They've also said that it's something out of their control and I will have to wait until the game developers create a patch.

    Hope it's fixed before Halloween. It's the main reason i play this game, because who doesn't love treehouse of horrors :smiley:
  • The most recent update did not fix the issue. I'm also hoping for a patch before the Halloween update since we can't even buy characters with the events until a patch comes out. However, EA claims they've been working on this since my issue Aug 1st, but nothing has come out yet. I suspect that they won't bother.

    If no patch comes out for Halloween, I think I will have played my last of this game.

    I will simply say what others have already said — there is probably not going to be a patch that fixes this problem. It’s fairly clear by now that the best available option is to seek a roll back.

  • Already requested a roll back. They couldn't get my account to rollback and EA refuses to try again. So you can keep saying the same thing.

    If they’re telling you the truth (and I’m always supremely suspicious of anything that EA Help tells me) then you oughta quit now because there almost certainly ain’t going to be a general patch that fixes this. And if you’ve spent any real money on the game, start exploring options for a refund.

  • Maybe it's a matter of getting lucky with the right technician to be able to help. My husband had this bug. He was communicating with EA by e-mail. They tried rolling back the game last week and it didn't roll back. They started ignoring his requests to complete the rollback and told him that the takedown update would fix the problem and that didn't work. He used the call me back feature yesterday and the technician seemed not to really understand the problem and he e-mailed a generic list of things to try that didn't work. He used the call back feature again and this time the technician seemed to understand right away and rolled back his game successfully. Now my husband's game works fine again. Good luck with your fix. I hope they find one that works for you.
  • The update really didn't change a thing... It made me sad because I was hoping that it would fix everything. I'm still playing because I really like the game and my city is so beautiful by now... But I already know that some glitch can kill the game at any minute and EA will do nothing about it! While visiting the neighbours I found out that one of my highest level neighbours had lost her huge city! Everything is completely empty. This famous glitch I heard about so many times, I believe is the worst one, and never heard of anyone who had a solution from EA. I won't be surprised if at any time this glitch happens to me...
    Play the game, have fun and DON'T spend money on it.
  • Ran into this issue yesterday. Had THREE callbacks before I found this thread. First call back, the call didn't go through. Both people I talked to had NO IDEA of this issue and gave me the standard ****. Log out, log back in, uninstall, reinstall, force stop, etc. etc. etc. with no luck.

    At least now I know the phrase "roll back" and will hopefully get someone that understands what that means.

    Lastly, I was sent a follow-up e-mail by EA with a link to find my "user ID number" but the link is to the Madden game. I followed the instructions and found no "user ID number." Does anyone here know where to find it?
  • Just want to follow-up. It took a 40 minute phone call with a man named Kumar but the issue was resolved and they did "roll-back" my game to yesterday (September 19th). Though I lost some of my Simpsons "cash" surprisingly I didn't lose any donuts. At least the game is playable now.
  • Just to update everyone, EA fixed the game today for me 9/20, with the initial issue noticed on 8/1. They did not do a rollback, but instead actually fixed the issues. I was very impressed. Everything was fixed except for the money mountain, which was half fixed.

    However..... I'm now in an infinite dialogue loop, associated with the County Fair event, similar to many other new posts.

    First time I see someone who got help without losing game progress. Could you tell us how you contacted EA and how did this happen? Maybe you can help others here to get the same kind of great help you've had. Not to me, unfortunately. I'm not in USA.
  • I have the same problem. The railway game for donuts is not playable. EA was contacted two times. Nothing is done!
    I hope that the Helloween update could fix the problems.

    It won't. These gliches will not be fixed with updates. The only way is if someone from EA goes into your game to fix it, something that seems to be extremely hard to get.
  • So, after I encountered the problem in June and haven't played every since, it's good to hear that they could fix it without rolling it back. I haven't played since then because it's almost unplayable (except for the events). Maybe I should contact support again. Anyway, the fact that this error bothered quite many and they couldn't fix it in 3 month tells me that someone messed it up drastically.
  • Well, this finally happened to me yesterday. Already created a ticket. I'm glad that I finally found this thread, now I'm at least a bit hopeful that it will be fixed, maybe even sooner than later. (Fingers crossed).

  • I had all these problems since Gill appeared so I asked to EA about make a rollback. They told me yes and after the rollback everything was fixed. Be careful because you will lose all the progress that you made after the rollback date (the day before all your problems started).

    I have been having an issue since this Halloween update. I managed to get the school and market placed and did Bart and Lisa’s first quest but I can’t tap on any pests because it says I’ve already done the quest. I haven’t.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • The last 3 times I log in the screen saids thank you for purchase and gives me donuts! I'm not even buying anything and I have like 800 donuts I'm scared it's charging my account but can't get to the bank. I went onto amazon and removed my card a few days ago but donuts keep coming
