  • Just a little update. Day 68 and still no contact from EA about this. I had to stop holding my breath. But the missing donuts bug was fixed about three weeks ago quietly by them, first they gave a bunch of donuts for the inconvenience caused and then they said that an expert will contact me. Yeah, when have I heard that one before. Nevertheless, the main thing is that no more missing donuts since.

But the funniest thing is that this original "thing" hit me third time a couple of days ago. Am I in the lead now? Am I winning? When does this end, EA?

Of course it doesn't break anything anymore, since nothing is fixed, and now I have yet another chance to buy Duff Gardens and the Lizard Queen. Which I still won't do.

So there we are. More and more victims and not a peep from EA. BTW; a few of my friends gave me an early Christmas present by promising to boycott EA and to not spend a dime on EA before this thing is fixed. Collectively our band of brothers has spent over a 1000 euros on TSTO alone. Not to mention their other platform games. I know we don't matter to these big time corporations, but the principle alone warms my heart.

Merry and Happy and all those things for everyone.

I am also experiencing this same problem. It only started for me after the update to remove the Halloween 2017 content. I hope we all get this sorted soon

They will not sort this out as they haven't and most likely will not admit this is a problem. It also only affects a handful of people. The only solution is to get in contact with EA and request a rollback.

As someone said before, be persistent but polite.

I sent an email, went into chat with two different people in the course of 4 days and then sent an email again. 4 or 5 days after that, they got back to me via email, did the rollback and everything was fine again.

The more you wait, the more progress you will lose, since the rollback implies restoring the game back to a point before that glitch.

Thanks for the advice. EA keep telling me that they can't access individual game servers. I'll keep asking them though

Boy, I hate to sound like a broken record, but this has been repeated countless times by numerous users in this thread and in others, but it seems not to really sink in: If you’re sitting on your hands waiting for EA to push out a solution to this problem, don’t! Read @odajoana ‘s message above about contacting EA.

  • This problem just started happening to me. Logged in and it started the Pie Man quests again. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling and that didn't help so I am on my way to start reaching out to EA.

Has anyone that's had this problem actually been able to get it fixed?

    Um, yes.

  • Sorry I should have been more specific in my question. I was wondering if anyone had luck in getting a permanent fix and not just a rollback. I've had time to go through and read all the comments on this thread and see that it seems like there is no real solution, and apparently no real rush to get it fixed either.

I've already had 1 phone call with EA where they were insistent that I try all of their generic troubleshooting steps even though I had already uninstalled/reinstalled my game before even reaching out to them. Tried all the steps and surprise! It didn't work  So I am now waiting on phone call 2 to push the issue further.

Rather unfortunate facing these issues with an event going on.

One single user claims to have been able to contact someone within EA who was able to effect a game restoration without resorting to a rollback. I don’t offhand recall the name of the user.

  • I'm experiencing this too. Android 8.1 pixel 2xl. I wonder what the common thread is causing this
  • Just a thought, but has anyone with these issues tried nuking their Springfield? I might give it a try but not until after the holiday events are done.
  • Yes that was tried and did not work. The only known fix is a rollback.
Again, if you are waiting for EA to release a general fix you are wasting time.
You need to bug them and bug them until they connect you to someone who can do a rollback.
    Be polite but persistent.
  • This happened to me on Christmas Day. I sent an email, which never got answered, and on the 27th had someone call me, who was able to do a rollback. This is the only solution.
As soon as possible after it happens, you need to have EA call you. I only missed two days and was able to catch up on the Christmas event. The person I spoke to at EA was very good. I let him know that I did all of the troubleshooting first and has already emailed EA with a link to this post and had a ticket created. The longer you wait, not only the more game time that you lose, but the more difficult it is for EA to scroll through your game logs to find the rollback time. Mine was only two days and it still took over 30 minutes on the phone to get fixed.
  • I contacted EA and they tried a rollback and it didn't work. They them said the usual of uninstalling, etc. After none of that worked they escalated it to higher people and I haven't heard anything yet. It is still "in progress".
  • Quick update: When I first spoke to EA they declined a rollback and said to wait for a solution. I was told they are working on a fix and unfortunately the only thing to do is wait it out.. OK fine - so a week goes by, and we're almost at the end of the Christmas event when they email me asking if I would like to do a rollback. I declined unless they could give me back all of the event prizes I had earned over the week since I had already gotten all of the prizes and earned several donuts and the timeline would leave me with not enough time to earn them all again. Their response was pretty much ok then you'll just have to wait, sorry.. So I am going to open another ticket soon and ask again if they could roll me back but give me back all of the items I have acquired after the date.. Hopefully if I keep asking I'll get somewhere.

Maybe this means it will be fixed with the next big update! Hopefully since a lot more people have been affected.

I doubt it. Maybe they figure out the root cause of the issue and fix the code to prevent future occurrences, but for those already affected I don’t think a simple fix is possible. This problem has been around for a lo-o-o-ng time now. If a straightforward fix via a patch/update were possible, they already woulda done it.

  • I have the same problem like everybody else here... it started in the first week of December. I am from Germany and had some really useless EA contacts - the first sent me a troubleshooting document although I said I tested everything on different devices. The second said that he will do a rollback but nothing happened. The third forwarded the ticket to "the specialists" where it now sits for over six weeks. The fourth almost screamed at me that I should stop contacting support because the ticket was already forwarded. I am unwilling to try rollback again because the first try was not successful and I now do not want to lose six weeks of progress... I hoped for the next update but when I read this thread is it not very likely that it will solve the problem.
  • I am having this exact same issue.
