Also, the Nexus 7 game progress had not advanced to the Ralph/harp stage of the game. It was around the time of building Moe's.

It has not connected for over a week, and not since the Saint Patrick's Day update, though I'm not sure how far before that (if any) it started happening.

i had this problem with my tablet around level 10, tried everything only a full reset of my tablet worked to start over from 0

I also tried deleting the game (backing it up first of course), and re-installing. Downloaded all the updates, but still didn't help; same "Cannot Connect to Server - Sorry about that. Maybe if you hit retry..." error page after the "Tap to continue" message is tapped from the splash/title page.
