When will TSTO end?

Prev1
I would assume that as long as people pay then they will continue to update. Especially with so much content not in the game yet :-)

I hope they keep going, I'm addicted

I hope they have offline gameplay when it's all over. But, EA doesn't care. And the developers probably think we're all dorks

With 1 movie, 24 seasons and counting they can keep updating this game for many years to come. Personally I hope it doesn't end.

Hard to say, all these new freemium iphone games are relatively new aren't they? I say iphone, I know they are playable off tablets and ipads and stuff but I think the iphone and android is one of the biggest attractions and marketing devices of the game.

Just as a rough estimate, I don't see this game as being the next world of warcraft, 10 years +

I think more realistically, the next 3 years are guaranteed, and beyond that, maybe a lifespan of 5 more years and anything above that is a bonus. I don't know why, just my feeling / opinion.

Maybe if the game gets enough players a new game could be made, maybe still the simpsons tapped but available on pc platform so we can play without the actual tapping and it could be like, the simpsons clicked out. Who knows, more of a wish than what I think will really happen though.

Considering that the game is currently #6 highest grossing in iTunes, and is receiving multiple updates per month (albeit most small), the game isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

3 years would be amazing, I hope I make it that long I've had my characters repeating 45 second tasks since August which is very time consuming

Agree. Relatively easy to do updates so likely for a while.

Perhaps a new version though? Have to consider at some time everyone will max out their land sometime..
    Is there anyone out there?

Unfortunately it will go down eventually, just like we city, we farm, adventure bay and we rule at the end of the month. The best things they can do for the game is to not make it hard to level up and never be part of any online leaderboards.

For EA, Theme Park is not getting updates. Monopoly Hotels gets updates but they don't seem as often as Simpsons. And their Sims game for the phone gets a lot of updates.

So I'm going to guess that EA will keep it updated as long as people are buying enough donuts to make the updates worth it.

It seems like a popular game. They could expand a lot with it, but there is so much missing content, most of us probably won't be happy until we have all the Simpsons characters and have enough content to build an accurate Springfield.

Tbh, I'm level 26 right now and I am getting bored of playing due to lack of content, but if there were more to do I would be more inclind to keep playing.

ideally it should not need to end ever, as they could keep upgrading to better game engines, better content (360° views of buildings for instance) etc. In 10 years time it could be the game is visually more like Simpsons Hit and Run was and that you can actually move through your own Springfield (view options like Google Earth 3D). It's not science fiction even! :D

As long as loyal players participate and upload pics I believe it will go on and on. Always remember, pics or it didn't happen. By that logic if there are pics it is happening.
