Tips on increasing XP

Prev1
My method is to build a bunch of orange houses, wait for them to be complete, collect the XP, wait for the taxes, collect the xp and $$, then sell off, and rebuild.
I'm pushing up to 500 donuts this way.

Have you built the million dollar items they are good for a bonus level or perhaps 2 depending on your bonus %

I'm intrigued. Can you tell us more? Do you only collect once from them before tearing them down?

What's the xp difference between the orange house and the volleyball net?

At Cletus farm grow triffids. Excellent if you have premium items this wil enlarge your XP.
If you have 100 friends, then visit each one and will gain you 3100 XP per 24 hours.

that is different stuff...you don't have to wait 24 hours to built volleyball net..
It is not a good idea..
Orange houses costs a lot, and gives you only a little bigger profit than blue house

Yup, only once. The point is, my town is making enough money, money isn't the issue. The issue is to rack up as much XP as I can, as fast as I can to get those sweet sweet donuts (from the bonus).
You're going to take a hit on cash this way, but by collecting once and selling them off, you'll gain back a nice chunk of $$ sooner, that you'll flip into more orange houses. I really only want the initial XP given for building the houses.

No doubt about it, it's expensive. You have to be pushing out plenty of money with your town to afford this process. You can build whatever you like, but I prefer to build the items that give me the maximum payout of XP. A little more is still more.

If you do the math you will find out that that the most expensive things don't have the best price/xp ratio

How much xp do you get by building an orange house?
The last time i built a purple house it gives 100xp (bonus xp excluded) within 4 hours build.

I would suggest creating large clear area on your map and filling it with white houses(most space effecient house).

If you collect twice a day you wil get a ton of money and xp.

Then with the extra money build a ton of instant build decorations then sell, build, repeat.

I've done the math, and I thought I was clear that money is not the issue. You seem to be arguing a point that I'm not disagreeing with.
Let me be crystal clear. I have more than enough money, earn more than enough money, am not concerned about money. I'm concerned about donuts, and therefore, XP.

The Author of this Thread was asking for Tips, I offered what I'm doing. You wouldn't do what I'm doing and that's fine. How about doing the Author of this Thread a favor and offer your Tips on increasing XP?

I think you're right, instant build decorations will soar your XP pretty wild.
    The cost is about $6.77 - $6.98 / XP

If you build a brown house for $355, it builds in 12 seconds, I don't know how many XP you get (because I don't know your bonus) but I got 41XP and then sell it for $88 dollars - total cost $267 or $6.5 per XP (and 12 seconds per house rather than 4/12/24 hours....)

I just did the math on three methods of gaining XP. In each circumstance, I took the cost of the item, and subtracted the money I would get for selling it. I then divided that by the amount of XP I received. In the case of the Brown House, I did not keep it long enough to collect anything from it, since it's practically worthless. The amount of XP of course is multiplied by whatever your bonus is, so everyone's mileage should vary, but it still shows which method seems to be the best.

Brown House $5.6 for 1 XP
Weather Station $5.3 for 1 XP
Volleyball Net $5 for 1 XP

Yeah that's what I was thinking but since this person chose orange houses for some reason I was thinking if there was something I had missed with the xp.
