Why Lenny And Carl?

When I first saw people on the forum talking about Carl being added I assumed you meant Karl from season 2's classic episode "Simpson & Delilah".

I am an avid fan of The Simpsons but would have appreciated some more prominent characters from the show such as Leopold or RV Bob.

Lenny and Carl appear a lot more often than RV Bob and Leopold, and obviously more so than Karl from season 2. I think their roles are significantly greater than those three characters combined.
