Having the same issue with Cletus. Instead of the rotation of growing crops, tax money from houses and restaurants, I get constant missions for Cletus. Back to back.

Whoa, same! I've been getting dozens of Cletus sidequests in a row too. I don't have Abe yet though. Fortunately, the Cletus sidequests don't seem to be interfering with the Halloween quest chain, or the main quest chain though. At least not for me.

I'm getting the something for both Abe and Cletus. Abe doing the same mission over and over. Cletus doing different missions back to back.

I had to do it 3 or 4 times before it went away.

I also like that he was telling stories when Bart and Lisa weren't even home.

I think it's a glitch. Like the game is out of quests for the level so it keeps repeating. I know I got the Taxman quest over and over.

I was having the same issues with Apu and Cleetus having to repeat long duration quests while I waited for Flanders to give me the go ahead to build the church.

Flanders finally opened the quest.

I'm getting the same thing, I've had about 8 back to back Cletus quests and I just unlockled Abe this morning and now he's wanted to do the "tell stories" quest 4 times in a row

Same exact problem. Grandpa won't stop having to tell his stories! It's almost close enough to a joke that I was thinking it may be intentional, but I'm getting the back-to-back Cletus too. I haven't had a crop/shop/tax cycle of tasks since before the Halloween items.

Yep, same here. Getting constant Abe and Cletus quests back to back to back. Been going on for probably 4 or 5 days now.

I've got the same problem. I'm guessing the game is waiting for me to build the town hall. I've almost got the $78K. I'll let you all know if that fixes it.

I have the same problem and I already have the town hall. I'm saving up the over $90,000 needed for Nelson's house.

Happens to me too, I like the extra $50 for the Abe quests, Cletus annoys me as you get all sorts of his quests knocking out his earning for 12 and 24 hours except the one payoff

My town hall just finished being built. Mayor Quimby was tasked to get bribes at Springfield Downs and Hank Scorpio got a new task to ransom governments at the new town hall. Cletus was freed from his task list but Abe still wants to tell war stories.

When I was previously stuck from progressing, it was because I had stored Springfield Downs. Once I replaced it, Wiggum was allowed to continue his quests. I discovered this by noticing a greyed-out task at the bottom of his lists. I'll check Abe again and ensure he's clear of any other tasks.

Yeah, it looks like Abe is finished telling his war stories. He no longer has a task assigned to him. Next up is a Cletus task (de-louse the younguns). Once that's done I'll let you know if it starts looping.

Yeah, I now have both Abe and Cletus repeating their quests. Off and on. (as others have stated above) I really hope this goes away, Abe, I don't care about, but Cletus is becoming a complete nuisance!

@ bat_arnold55 - I deleted my springfield downs to gain some instant money, I'm going to restore it and hope this madness ends. I'll keep you posted!
