So log in today to collect from my jobs I had been doing when it tells me that "There is a level 9 Springfield on this device". That was from a game I had started before the one I am currently playing. It,s asking me if I want to save it.
Underneath, it reads "Is this your Springfield?" No its not!! Where is my level 27 Springfield. I have over 2.5 million and 250 donuts and every premium ever made. How do I get my town back?
This happened to me to once. I read somewhere that the solution was to click "no" to the question if this was my town and then choose the option to start a new one. Nearly gave me a heart attack, but true enough, I got my at that time lvl 25 town back..
Not promising that this works, but if you're desperate enough, give it a go..
So went into my son's account. He said he didn't care if it got reset because he's not spent any money on it (his premium items were gotten via free donuts from leveling up and saving them). He really wanted that free waterfall. Held my breath the whole time.
Got in, got him the waterfall, continued Lenny/Carl tasks (he hasn't finished them yet) and got the heck out of there.
Didn't check on his neighbors or anything, was too scared of getting kicked off the server and having his town reset.
I think from reading what people have been putting it very risky to even log into their towns at the moment

Nope, ya'll can be the guinea pigs. I'm going to sit over here and watch.
I feel so bad for all of you affected, I'm terrified to log in just in case my town is gone! Staying away until this is resolved! Good luck in getting your towns back :-(

The poll is up to 65 people who have lost their towns. Think, that is just a tiny percentage because most players do not post here. I just can't imagine how large the number actually is!
I'm worried/scared for those who have seen the opening video. In the past, that usually means the town is truly gone/reset and there is no getting it back. Let's hope that isn't true this time.
Not necessarily, this happened to me some months ago and I saw the intro, I just switched off the app and re opened it and all was restored.
The problem with EA is, there's no solid answer to anything. Nobody knows what will happen from here on out nor to whom it may happen, this may be temporary or longer term, it's literally a sit and wait game.

I know poor guy, my heart was in my mouth when I saw it. Since then another 2 have gone down to level 13 and another to level 7. Good luck guys.

I imagine it's like a reoccurring nightmare for some, but hang fire guys, I think your towns are safe. I hope :?

A second on towns coming back after a restart. My first town reset to level one through a synching error, then, when I chose the option to play anyway, it restarted at the cut scene where Homer blows up the plant. I did the same as Melody, turning it off before it could save over the existing town. I wasn't as lucky as she was with the town coming back immediately after, though - two months of sitting in tech support later, I got it back (with an email saying that it had been accessible all along if only I had chosen the option to play...sure).
So apparently this can happen. I totally agree that not playing over your town is a very very good idea.

I'm gonna give this a week or so, if its not corrected I'm going to contact iTunes because if the game doesn't work and continues to have problems like this it should be removed completely! Ea/origin will be making a fortune with all the calls that are being made to them! They make * loads off of the game I for one have spent a lot of money on this and I'm sick of it!

Logging in and it told me to create new town and log out and back in.
Not supirsed to see something major hit this game again!! nothing that a boat load or two of doughnuts will fix, and some cash while your at it!
