:) I agree to keep the game flowing you need to purchase some donuts so people get paid... I happily buy my fair share...but fairs fair there has been very little substantial items recently that haven't cost lots of donuts in comparison to substantial items for Simpsons $$$. To the point where it's hardly worth collecting $$$ I have over 26,000,000 to spend on what, a few decorations....I know $15000 every 3 days on a boardwalk square..

The Christmas update is good, yet so slow. Your friends that you visit get no benefit from your visit except a few $$ unless you leave them a gift box, of which you don't get many to give away I'm averaging about 40 a day, with70+ neighbours it's not even 1 each.. And even they are only worth 5 tickets towards their items.... Sad Christmas joke... Did I mention you can buy packs of these for you guessed it DONUTS...

Little wonder Facebook is inundated with hack either for free or little money for those naive enough to pay.

Come on EA games be fair or you will loose players like me who through their enjoyment of the game have contributed to this game with real money so people get paid.

They will make more million dollar items, so you'll be able to spend your millions.

Friends get 30 gift cards for each friend they visit. That's a benefit right there. Getting gift bags is random. The spawns aren't the best I'll give you that. I'm getting roughly the same per day. Just distribute them as you see fit.

I think the devs of tapped Out have been very generous as of late. Take a look at this Christmas update and see all the free stuff they have given us. And there has only been a handful of premium items & none of them are big ticket items except for Santas Village (which is a re-release from last years update)

:) looking forward to spending $$ instead of donuts....

Thought I better clarify what I said in regard gift tickets, yes they have been very generous to the person doing the visiting, being able to collect 30 tickets at every town is a really big help towards our totals... I meant there is no benefit as far as tickets go to the people you've visited..

The Tribal Chief was "Limited Time" only during the Thanksgiving update. He is no longer available. Same goes for the other Thanksgiving items

The marge, lisa & maggie snowmen were purchasable with money rather than donuts last Christmas. Must've changed cos more people are buying donuts.

A bit annoyed that the snowmen I bought last year aren't recognised by the krusty spinner & that I've re-won the useless things again. Also, is there any point in winning $1000 on the spinner when your Springfield makes S100000 a day.

Pretty sure if you bought all the donut stuff it would set you back a $1000

Yea I won all 5 of last years snowmen through the wheel. The 1000 is worthless to a lot of players with a lot of excess cash, but it will definitely help out the newer players who are struggling. The point of the wheel is for the 6 exclusive prizes you can only get through there

    1. Claus Co
    2. Helter Shelter
    3. Plow King
    4. Snow Monster
    5. Ice God Statue
    6. Christmas Skinner House

It also lets players who didn't play last year have a shot at getting all the Christmas House skins (with the exception of Volcano Lair & Frinks Lab), The snowmen, Mr Plow. Plus you can also win tickets. It's no too shabby for getting 1 free token a day unless you purchase some via the in-game store

Pretty sure it seems like they just forgot to program in that already purchased snowmen should be removed from the wheel. I'm sure if you purchase the snowmen with donuts without winning them on the wheel they would still show up on the wheel unlike if you already have the house lights. This is what I was complaining about, not the point of the wheel. Those things would be easier to get & all would be won by the end of the event if that was strictly the point of the wheel. Also I'm pretty sure having the wheel win you $10,000 would be less disappointing to long time players and more beneficial to new players. It's not too shabby for one token a day if you keep getting something more than $1000 for each spin. A spin token is about 10 donuts from the build menu and 1 token has a high chance of getting $1000 if you have most of the stuff from last year. So you could say 10 donuts = $1000 when using the wheel.

Anyway, by the looks of it they will be giving us some donuts and a reindeer for Christmas and New years which is nice of them.

I've not long been playing, but i decided to do it without spending any real money. That being said, i saw Gil's deals today and changed my mind, i'll buy a small amount just once, every time Gil's deals become available.

I plan on buying 150 (138 + 12 free), but i'm not really sure of the most beneficial thing(s) to buy? I'm level 13 and just finishing off the Nuclear Plant.

Also, i bought the squeaky voiced teen with donuts i'd collected.

    Any suggestions?

Just buy whatever calls your attention the most. Since you don't have much, you should stretch them. If you want to buy another character, then perhaps go with one of the cheaper ones. Kearney, Hans Moleman & Bumblebee Man are all 60 donuts each.

You could also save them for something down the line you really want if nothing grabs your attention at the moment.

yeah I've added people who farm....they just use all of the grid when they buy a piece of land.

wow it doesn't even look like Springfield anymore..it's just clusters

I've been leaning towards that soo I get more Springfield $$ to buy bigger stuff but...yeah we should spend a little money to get donuts to get premium stuff

support this game and it's developers...they're doing a fine job
I'm on android...its great.....I've killed all my other games and I'm only focused on this one

    my premium stuff:
    burning bush
    Homer's Hammock
    DMV limousine
park bench with jacket on it
    hotdog stand and popcorn stand

You need to update that the two premium building's Christmas fa?ades are now 10 donuts each, putting them in the premium category.

I started with just free items, but eventually I realized that the game was so enjoyable that I didn't mind paying a little bit for a few premium items. I did wait for the Gil deals, and spent less than most games cost, and in the end I think it was worth it. Wouldn't recommend this strategy for the completionists though.

I do the same, bud. I wait for the Gil deal and I stock up. I'm a completionist, but I only buy 1 of each item.

I haven't spent any money on this game and I have nothing to complain about. I think this game is very well made and lots of fun. You can still make your Springfield look great without buying any donuts, plus not to mention you still get free donuts all the time throughout the year so you can get some premium items, just like on New Year's Day they gave away 10. Lots of people complain but for really selfish reasons like why don't they just give me a boat load of donuts for free, so what if you were to get that? then what other complaint will come after that, and again after that one. Just be glad that the developers are giving this game constant attention and making a great game even better every year. And like someone else mentioned on this forum, they don't have any annoying advertisement. Tapped out is awesome!! 8)

So much Stockholm Syndrome in this thread . I don't want every thing in the game for free. I would have paid twenty to twenty five bucks for the full game and have to unlock everything by gaining EXP, in game cash, and leveling up. You know like how it's done on consoles. And this is a two year old mobile game. You can't expect a sixty dollar price tag for it. The most insane part is how much all the premium stuff costs (Sept. 2013), it's over 300 bucks! If it was being sold for $299.99 in the App Store or Google Play would you buy it or would you have second (or three hundred) thoughts? Would you pay that much for Halo, COD, or even Sim City?

Everyone mentions how well EA updates the game. If they mean update to try to get more money out of players, then EA are pros at that. They sure don't update to fix the constant crashing and failures to connect to servers. Even with yesterday's update players were logging in to different towns.

I've noticed they made some of the characters from events that are now purchaseable for donuts give premium cash in the last update. Any reason they missed devil Flanders?

Probably missed him. I think they mostly concentrated on the actual characters, not the skins.
