If it was being sold for $299.99 in the App Store or Google Play would you buy it or would you have second (or three hundred) thoughts? Would you pay that much for Halo, COD, or even Sim City?
That's nearly $300 for the entire series. Then spin offs. Then DLC, you are pretty close to $300 at this point. Sure Halo 1, Halo 2 aren't worth $50 today, but Tapped Out is also over a period of time. Granted, nothing as long as the Halo series though.
To sum it up, there's 10 COD titles, 8 of them on last gen consoles. So that's 8*60= $480 + $100, or almost $600. So there are people that spend that kind of dough, just not all at once. You can say you didn't get every game, but then again you don't need every premium item either. COD also has more DLC than Halo, so there's that too. Top it off with an XBox Live subscription and makes it even better.
Wow, 'DeadshotDCU' made an amazingly impressive thorough analysis / list there!
...And generated plenty productive feedback in this topic.
My 2 cents:
Coming from someone who is not really that much of a gamer, but big Simpsons, Futurama and Family Guy fan;
Huge kudos to EA and Fox for a VERY impressive game app; became totally addicted an my SG3 over last couple months and wish I'd got into it a month earlier to enjoy '13 Halloween. Already gave bunch of feedback on Holiday update (just a quick review again: seasons should continue, and fully mirror actual calendar for one's global locale).
Everything that a player gets here is indeed genuinely impressive and extremely well done to provide maximum Ad-free enjoyment. I really can't knock EA at all and find it quite impressive, and am glad to provide further proactive creative input in hopes they continue to enhance and elevate an excellent game... Had a tech glitch for a few days when my game was disabled but not lost, and was resolved quickly by support as well, so further compliments there.
Kudos again to a fine work of technical art in outstanding honor to the ultimate American treasure of TV in my book. The SuperBowl update was truly appreciated; very cute and well done - thanks for the free DuffBlimp! -just wish Homer actually did 'Blimp around'; seems like it could have floated around like the NewsCopter I occasionally see on friend's Springfields... Showed my appreciation of it by purchase a KwikEMart Scratcher! ;-)

The Cozy Hammock is now premium, and I believe the Choo-Choo-Choose Train is as well.
The Cozy Hammock is listed in the premium section. However the Choo Choo Train is not since you can get it off the wheel for free along with the other wheel decorations, which I have not added yet because I don't know all their names yet
A little off topic and random but can anybody help me in getting the bridge...gate things for the water? I see so many towns with them and I can't find them anywhere in decorations or in the buildings sections.

I sent you a PM a couple of days ago, but I case you don't log-in or others maybe don't know, it's very easy.

The helicopter is a task associated with Arnie Pye. He is a premium character for 85 donuts.
That's not Bart's lucky red cap, that looks like the Capital City Goofball cap!
That is indeed the cap of the Capital City Goofball. Let's hope he's an upcoming Friend Points prize. Possibly Level 6?
Being a character, it wouldn't surprise me if he was level 10.
Unless, they make him a walking deco, and not a character
He'll definitely be a regular playable character. He'll just be voiceless since he was voiced by the late Tom Poston. I think another upcoming prize could be a Cool Lisa skin judging by the picture. I wonder how often they will be adding these prizes. 5 every update? If so, that would be pretty great.
With every game I play, there's always those people with the entitlement mentality and think everything should be free. I guess a lot of people don't know basic economics: a company's product has to generate revenue to continue making the product.
Yes, but basic economics (supply/demand etc), suggests that if something is cheaper more people will buy it... Doughnuts are overpriced. If they were cheaper, more people would buy them, and hence, more profit...

People do spend that on Halo, COD.
Halo 1 = $50
Halo 2 = $50
Halo 3 = $60
Halo 4 = $60
Halo 3 ODST = $60
