I'm so glad you are still doing this. It's a great resource. I couldn't remember the title of it to bump it up for you. Hmmmm....I think I may sticky this actually.
Yea I enjoying doing it. I have it bookmarked. So it's easy for me to find it when I need it.
To pay devils advocate the cool stuff costs and if your one of those gotta have it all people look at it this way for example disco stu costs 180 doughnuts it's roughly what 10 bucks for 100? So your spending what twentyish bucks on graphics granted you don't have them already through other means..I can understand the fustration but it is a freemium game..take what you can..you also left out a lot of the whacking day characters and buildings my friend. ? good post nonetheless ?

Did you read everything thing ? because he has all the whacking Day buildings and characters in there.
My main issue would be that we should be given more opportunities to "earn" donuts in the game. Say have special tasks every once in a while that would reward us with *some* donuts..
I understand the premium items and why it adds to the gameplay, but for dedicated players, I wish EA would make it easier to earn your premiums somehow.. you know?

There are ways to earn free donuts. Through the weekly mystery box, leveling up, finding them in debris, playing sideshow you, through various quests & even on occasions EA has given us free ones through promos & special events. This may not be enough for you or for a lot of people. But hey, at least it's something & it's better than nothing at all.

if you have money farm krusty burgers gulp and blows and white houses..get a lot of money buy and sell weather stations bonus levels.. I said nothing this message will self destruct in ten seconds.
This game is more generous with giving out donuts than other similar games. I play about 4 games that are similar and they are very stingy, it's close to impossible to make any of their "donuts".
They are also very generous with the number of free items, again when compared to other games that are similar.
Some people on this board are always complaining regarding the premium stuff and this topic is to show all those people about how they are not able to get xyz character or building or item. That EA does in fact give away so much stuff for free that you don't have to spend any money whatsoever. The free stuff outweighs the paid stuff by LOADS. If EA makes no money whatsoever on this game, then it's bye bye game. Simple as that. How do you expect a game company to keep developing content for the game, yet not get paid for it. Would you work for free? I doubt that. Lets take a look at just how evil and unfair EA & the devs of Tapped Out are...

As someone who doesn't spend money on video games, I have to add that I also find the Simpsons: Tapped Out amazingly generous with free items.
I mean, yeah, some of the cool stuff are "donuts"; but, there's a lot of very good stuff that are free as well. For example, 3 Eyed Sushi we got really recently was a very attractive addition. Other games you get all the bad looking stuff free and only the cash stuff looks good.
you have to keep the perspective that 1) a console game costs $70 and 2) kids put loads of quarters into arcade games that last for 2 mins. If you are playing this game for hours upon end, and consider the above factors, than you shouldn't take issue with putting money into the game to enhance the experience.
I am all for the donuts being spent and agree they have to make their money somehow. All the free to play games I have stuck with I have purchased some premium currency to show support for the game and to do my part to ensure its survival.
My only concerns is the shear price of some of the items when you look at the real world cost of the donuts. Between $15 and $20 of real money for a building in a game?!! I think there is revenue and then cashing in on people that may be easily addicted to games. I think more or us would spend the real money if it were realistically priced. A couple of dollars for a premium building not $20.

Maybe better terminology is in order?
You are correct! so how much real money did you pay for that in game cash?
No real dollars, it just costed many virtual dollars. Either way, it wasn't free. Homer was free at the beginning. That's free.
