i had this same problem but just fixed it by putting an item into storage and putting it back on the map. it fixed the conform-o-meter and also the money and xp bug. hope it works for you.

I bugged out again lost two levels and 40k now no xp or anything and ea has not responded with a proper answer or fixed it

seems the inventory fix is only temporary as I have to do it EVERY time I restart the game.

Here's another fix I did this morning which also fixed my Conformity Meter (which was low).

1. Visit a friend's town that contains a mop bucket on top of Springfield Elementary.

2. Collect this mop bucket. No rewards will appear. Do not perform any other friend's actions in this Springfield and return to the Friends' Map screen.

3. Select another friend's town, this time with a graffiti can above Springfield Elementary. Select the graffiti can and your rewards should start appearing again.

I visited all my friends first to know which ones had what I was looking for and then went in again.

Instead of storing millhouses house I sold it by accident and can't buy it back now. Does anyone know how to buy it back. I cant do any quests to move forward because of this problem.

Greentolex - your solution worked - but only for a minute, then back to the same problems. No progress, no xp, no dollars. Very frustrating, but thanks for your assistance

I try to store church and when I put back on the game, everything was normal again and everything has remained since....

Quick fix works but it's annoying to do all the time and the experience and money you get is not the same as before :x

Thanks man, this worked for me! Which makes sense because I normally don't bother with the mop buckets on my friends' towns but did so only recently and started experiencing this bug. Your fix appears to be permanent so far! From now on I'll only tap houses in friends' towns!

The best way to avoid all this garbage is to get rid of all your friends because this problem only happens when one of your friends visits your town, does a graffiti on your school and then you clean it causing you not to be able to get any money or xp. Since I've deleted everyone I've finally rEstored my game.
