Lisa stealing Snakes:Explained

Except when I my 24 hr. Homer/Lisa tasks were finished and I had the first 50ish snakes to whacked and had about 43 snakes. I went and visited my friends afterwards. Poof vanished and they were all gone. The majority of my friends were not as far along as I was and I come back and nothing. I didn't have that many friends in the first place for all of them to do Lisa's task and be far enough along to do it. There's a glitch.
