I think you just have to wait until snakes generate and send what characters you can to get snakes. You'll have to wait to go to friend until 400. So if you don't want to buy premiums you'll have to wait. Also the reason your snakes disappear is Lisa has a task were you can take snakes from other towns.

Just login every once and a while and you will notice more snakes have come to your town. Someone said 1 snake every 8 minutes? So after a couple hours, you'll be able to tap some more.

On top of that, feel free to purchase the premium items that spawn snakes every 4 hours. I have these and it helped a lot.

As for friends, if you have someone you actually know you could exclusively exchange eggs with them. But, putting eggs in people's towns really helps them (if they put some in your town then cool but there is no way to know who put the egg in your town)

Not everything yet, but got my duff stadium already and love it. Especially when duffman promote the beer, with his floating rockets
