So I'm guessing when people wanted a fix for the harp of death they never dreamed EA would do this. Is there any limit to how bad EA can go? With the next update will they fix the snakes problem but an EA employee will break into your house and * you in the back passage while you sleep.

How do you know how many you have? I have so much empty grass compared to others but I have a lot of plants so I'm probably way over but I'm not deleting a single shrub (or ever investing in premium items--good plan EA!)

I wanted to place the temple, then I got a popup telling me I had 4365 objects and that the limit is 3000.

For sure I can wait until they remove the limit again, and sadly there won't be any Whacking Day fun for me like that.

Or I'd have to erase 33% of my town... Not really an option is it?

Basically this means I'm suddenly locked out of the game because EA has performance/capacity/design problems. Quite a bad deal for somewhere between 200 - 300 euro's spent (which is crazy on itself, I know)

I'm not getting that warning-weird. I've got to be over the limit. I haven't got any eggs from friends.

Are there any official statements and Q&A by EA about this? Right now it means game over for me, and I would like to know if this is a permanent or a temporary limit, and if temporary, until when.

I am completely stupefied! How on earth can this be?

Anyone has any advice on how to proceed?

I wouldn't complain to much. I had over 4000 decorations to get rid of, and it took me a day and a half to get rid of them all. I cry for all the trees I cut down.

I have two questions for you:

    1. Why did you go through the trouble of spending a day and a half removing over 4000 objects?
    2. What is left of your Springfield and why bother to restart building back towards the limit again?

I understand if you were planning to redecorate or restart your town anyway, or if you got fed up of all the bling-bling if you over-decorated your town and finally discovered that less is more, but none of these scenario's apply to me. I have nearly all of the land and a very decent, orderly but rich town which I am still redecorating, and which is now suddenly barred from any further progress.

In other words, I can't move, I'm stuck, it's game over. This little trick by EA is unacceptable.

Everyone complained about server stability, so EA implemented something (hopefully short term) to address the issue. Now you're complaining about the implementation? Stop whining. I'm not defending EA here, but they at least did something to address a big issue.

    How exactly is this whining?

    1. I am a quite generously paying customer
    2. I have never experienced server instability, nor have I complained about it
    3. Suddenly I can not continue playing unless I destroy 33% of my game, and then still I can not continue playing because destroying 33% of my game puts me square on the 3000 objects limit

    1. So am I.
    2. You may not have, but many many others have. for the collective good of the game, they implemented this change.
    3. If you're house farming, then it's about time to lose some houses. Just take this as a creative challenge. It's all in how you look at it.

All the new Android users were crammed onto the same amount of servers as the Apple people. A lot of people don't seem to understand that. You better get ready for the EA is blameless trolls. They're coming.

Removing my temporary house farm of around 100 to 150 blue houses won't make any difference. It's over 1365 objects I need to get rid of in order to immediately restart building back to the 3000 objects limit again.

Add me, and explain to me how I can be creative instead of merely destructive.

Put something - anything - into storage (like a tree or shrub). Then try to take it back out and place it into your town. If you don't get an error message, either you are under 3000 items or you lucked out (not sure if jail broken phones have this worry or not).

If you are your limit, no friends can place eggs.

I will raise EA with some of my legal trolls then. They are making millions and they better perform.

I'm only adding the users who I communicate with on a daily basis here. I don't have much room, sorry. 8) But I can say I didn't have to remove any items nor am I fully done building/arranging my town (I doubt I will ever be). I get ideas here and there that I jot down, but I do my best to give it a small town feeling. I have some major projects I want to get done, but decided to hold off until after Whacking Day so I could have the money.

An alternative is to remove this game from the servers. Yes, it eliminates the "neighbor-eeno" aspect. But given how horribly unstable the servers are, it may be best to keep this a game on one's phone or tablet. We could then plan any time and anywhere. No worries about connecting to the server, server glitches, reset of games, limitations on how we build our towns, etc. While visiting neighbors is fun, most of us enjoy this game by building more and more. Limiting that decreases the enjoyment factor.

So you blame android owners and not EA, you muppet. How about new apple players then? Are they more deserving of server space. Sod off back under the rock you crawled out from.
