yes same here I gave up trying earlier, got burns on his brisk constitutional and Smithers doing a 16 hour shift in the plant.
they seemed to get on the bike but as soon as I went into whacking mode they got off and wandered around

several times yesterday... I think once today... sometimes it sticks. Going to start just sending Smithers to jail.

Ya they seem to cancel the job and start other jobs. Like Burns starts the Fruit-Bat Man fighting job.

This has been happening to me all morning. If I log out and back in again the task seems to have cancelled itself. This didn't happen before the update, at least not to me.

Happened to me five times around the time I was being robbed of snakes. Ps has anyone gotten a single donut from an egg? False advertising much?!?

It's a bug. The quest is canceled if you go to the edit screen to move buildings or decorations or if you go o the wacking menu. As for the eggs, it's a 1% chance you will find donuts in the eggs. Besides, why get a donut when snakes are more important in the long run?

Happened to me too. I just put them on the 4 or 8 hr tasks for now, until (if) it gets fixed.

Anyone notice the new lines from Smithers if you click him while in whacking mode? :shock:
