Rat Traps trucks / connection error

Twice in last couple days, i got the bart connection screen during collecting the donuts during the rat trap trucks, making me lose the majority of the level up donut collection. Bad luck or by design?

Replies

  • I would say bad luck. I have had it happen a couple times but I have also been able to get through 100 without it crashing. I try to do around 10 at a time so I don't lose out on too much.
  • Every time I put 4 down It just kicks me on to Bart's screen so I've gone back to KEM farming.

I don’t think this by design. A number of users have reported this issue and a few have ventured the specific recommendation that when using rat trap trucks to farm donuts to not place too many at time (i.e., placing fewer trucks diminishes the potential loss should you get kicked out of the game). In my own case I tend to see this kind of behavior when my internet connection is a bit more “iffy”.
  • Well, I don't know the exact number I was doing at a time. I'd guess no more then 12-15 trucks, that net me around 60 donuts.
I'll start cutting it in half.
  • The cash limit is now at around 4 billion. Collect as much cash as you can so that even if EA disconnects you and you lose bonut rounds, you can just shrug it off. It might not be your imagination, the game tends to disconnect a lot when I'm farming donuts and clicking on bonut boxes.
  • I'm sure someone can post the exact numbers, but isn't KEM farming way more effective??

My quick math(at my 500+% XP bonus):

2 Rat traps cost $300,000 total and yield just over 1M XP, so one level up.

I can buy about 36 KEM for $300,000, which yields about 2.5M XP, or 2-3 level ups.
  • KEM is quite time consuming for me. I play rat truck only but also because my game cash is always high. Reduce the number of rat trucks drastically if it is always disconnecting. Then see how many you can afford to place without disconnecting
  • KEM farming is cheaper than other forms, but it also requires land to farm as well as wait time. If you have enough IGC, rat trap trucks is a quicker and doesn't require the land commitment.

You are absolutely right, KEM farming is more efficient in terms of XP per unit of cash, but KEMs take 4 hours to build, and land set aside. Rat trap trucks are instant, cash is irrelevant if you have a big enough house farm to generate loads of cash. If you can get your multiplier higher, you will stop caring about efficiency, and XP per cash units, and just get as many donuts as you can in the shortest amount of time.

I try to place no more than 1 million worth at the time. I still get one to two Bart screens a day. I just Live with it and there's pretty much nothing you can do. Best way to deal with it as others have said this to just farm a lot of money, cash becomes irrelevant to those with high multiplier. Mine: 1,850%

I would never go back to KEM farming just too much hassle.

  • For those of you that have a lot of donuts saved up, the Halloween event will be coming up soon. It's a good time to start buying wailing walls. It increases your multiplier, it pays out cash, uses up 5 squares of space, and when placed side by side, it forms one solid purple block to help with aesthetics.

Depends if they come back for donuts purchased or they might end up being craftable.

Pretty much this, KEM farming is more efficient Exp wise, but not so much time wise.
See with KEM the timer and incremental price, a limit to the amount that can b crafted is set. For those with high cash amounts, this means a constant rotation that rarely ends.

Non-build times give instant gratification at the cost of a viable amount of exp, they are also easier to calculate once you get into the groove.
    Limited time sale?
Are you going to KEM farm every 4 Hrs till you get the donuts?
    No way!
Just get the instant gratification of Non-build exp

That said, I switch over to mobile data whenever I do farm for donuts, as I noticed almost no server Interference, I've done up too $10 million worth of rat traps trucks at a time.
  • fix yo ****!
  • Yeah this is a regular irritation. In order to limit losses, I usually stick to around 10 rat trap trucks (approx 60 million XP) or fewer.
  • This happened to me a few times too. Twice today. Does this happen with bloodmobiles?
