Jam Session payout

Does anyone know why a 4h Jam Session task payout (100$/135$) at the new stages is less than a normal 4h task payout (175$/260$)?

Also odd:
If a character has a 4h task to perform on a stage you will geht the task payout, but if you send the same character from the stage task to perform a Jam Session you will get the lower Jam Session payout although the animation is the Same.

  • This reflects how Ticketmaster has an evil monopoly on pricing, so the band gets less money unless they fight the system.

  • Hmmm... good catch. I guess I will just store those stages then!

Then you'll just be without a 4 hour task for several characters.

Use the character's menu or the U\O to assign tasks, not the stage.

Because the EA developers don't really want you to use the stage so they are using a passive aggressive technique to discourage you not to use the stage. They could have disabled those jobs, but by making them pay less than the standard 4 hours rate, they can always blame YOU for not using the stage for your characters. It's you fault for being greedy, for wanting to maximize the cash and XP earnings for the character's job. See Maggie dance should be enough reward, but you want the full 4 hour cash and XP rate too?

Great advice, as usual! Thank you.

  • I stored the stages in my main town. I'd rather send the characters on a 1 hr premium than a 4 hr non-premium.

Shorter tasks almost always payout better anyway

  • If you check your characters when they're on the stage they actually get the usual 4 hour payout (assuming they've been sent there by the employment office). I checked this because I have a full rock stage and didn't want to be losing money on Shredder Stevens, Freddy Freeman, Nick Delacourt and Peter Dabruzzio. Their 4 hour tasks are on the rock stage and if they are automatically assigned there by the employment office they earn the usual 260/175. Same happens for Alaska Nebraska on the pop stage.
  • All musical acts get cheaper as they get older and less relevant if they don’t limit the number of gigs they do. Try letting them do gigs only once every 4-5 years.
