  • Thanks, @daved7637397 - I saw that the island could be level 2, but I wanted to make sure about the others. I use the level 1 valet parking for my Powell’s motors showroom.

Happy to help. Good idea with the showroom, Ive seen people use them for parking at the airport, but Ive never been able to make them look right

  • Trying to do some maths with Donuts farming and would appreciate help from the more mathematically minded among you...

    So:

I can currently afford about 18 KEM about 3 times a day (at 2,000 XP each I think) - I can probably do 4 times a day but I'd rather err on the side of caution.

Difficult to give a precise estimate of XP earned with tasks etc.

My current multiplier is 269.25% (trying to increase further obviously)

I'm level 131 (therefore 500,000 XP per level)

The XP collider costs at least 2.5 donuts a day at least (on a 10 day run)

I am not sure if the XP collider gives an additional 5x XP (i.e., 2,000 XP + 10000 XP) or just 5 times the total XP (10,000 XP in total).

So I guess I should level up at least 3 times a day as a result (on top of the normal levelling that I would do) to make this proftable, so in other words I would need to earn at least 1,500,000 EXTRA XP due to the XP collider to make this work.

However, with a conservative estimate of 8,000 XP extra per KEM (it might be 10,000 XP) x18 KEM x 3 per day that works out as an extra 432,000 XP per day. Even if it's 10,000 extra XP per KEM, that only comes up as an extra 540,000 XP per day. With my multplier as above, that would be between and 1,162,000 and 1,452,600 extra XP per day. Maybe only just about profitable calculating the XP earned from tasks?

Have I got anything wrong? Should I wait until I have a higher multiplier or more money to spend on regular KEMs before switching in on again?

@DocBingoBongo This calculator may help you out some.

  • Thank you, I've seen that link. But it only tells me how much I spent per donut with farming - not really if investing the donuts in the collider is paid off by the extra levelling?

The XP collider 5x is a straight multiplier (not a bonus!)

In my opinion, you should always have the XP collider on while KEM farming or other farming.
Whoa, whoa, whoa – I only accept cash, bitcoin, or GameStop stock.
  • Ah, that's very helpful! Thank you.

So according to that, I would make an exta 1,595,160 XP with the collider just by KEW farming. Which is 0.5 donut profit per day.

Having said that, with my current 48 characters and at least 140 XP per day character per day, I would get an extra 99,254.4 XP from that as well, not counting buildings and friends and quests...

And that's not counting an increased multiplier over time.

So I should be able to make a net profit of at least 1.5 donut per day (one from daily challenge and 0.5 from XP collider), plus various and sundry...

    Thanks!

omg this is the science of this game summed up ; i like useful informations and this is certainly going on favorite pages
  • Is this something that is still possible? When I go to drop a new KEM is shows the XP gain as "1". Was the strat neutered?
  • The 1 xp is from collecting it's job. KEM farming utilizes the XP you get from building it which is 2000 xp.

    Yup, still works

Bonus is key - 2,000 XP per KEM x 5 for the collider is 10,000, Add an extra 10,000 XP for each 100% bonus if you have the collider active.
The math, divide bonus / 100 then add 1 and multiply that by the basic XP per KEM or Truck.
Also don't keep KEM's. Sell the lot and the next one you build is only $220 or so, with the price increasing until the 25th on is $14,400. If you have a lot of KEMs it'll start at $14,400 each and cost a packet.
You can't add KEMs until around level 11 and can't sell the one that unlocked APU !!

@LisaSimpsonLFC The main key is your bonus %. This is found under your star rating.
Minimum bonus % to start farming is 200% as it will be slow and frustrating. 300 would be better, 500 is getting easier and 1000% is very easy to farm. Make sure your XP collider is on when farming.
Open mystery boxes for the van and the billboard and the unique items, then once you hit level 30, work on Springfield Heights. The buildings increase bonus, (upgrade them for the real estate value but only the main building increases bonus so you can store the little pieces). Buy all 5 beach Hideaways and level them up (You must place the pieces to get the full bonus of 20% each). SH buildings placed in town increase bonus 153% Beach Hideaways and pieces placed in town and fully upgraded increase bonus 100%. In the vault look for the BBQ Pig the jet engine bike or the miniature nuclear warhead as these increase bonus with the smallest size and best ROI.
Only spend down to your minimum level of cash you are comfortable with if you are still buying land or cash characters and buildings. Only spend on KEM what you earn every 4 hours. Shorter tasks earn more money if you can collect more often. Invest all donuts into the mystery box or the vault items to increase bonus % more.. Keep increasing bonus until you make enough donuts that you are happy with.

There's a version of this with costs in the opening post, but here's a quick table based on the total number of KEMs you own and how many you plan to farm.
If you only keep the one that unlocked Apu and plan to farm 10 then the total you'd have is 11, which would cost $5,670. If you already had 10 KEMs you wanted to keep and were going to farm another 10 then it would be the cost for 20 ( $30,970 ) less the cost of 10 ( $4,570 ) costing $26,400.
This is the amount you'd need to spend, but you get 25% of that back when you sell 'em.

  • How do we know if it's better to get stuff from the mystery boxes or stuff from the vault to increase the multiplier?

    players have exhaustively researched this
  • Average Burns Box spend for each added 1% bonus is a little over 8 Donuts. Most store or vault items are at least 10 donuts for each 1% they add and it's often a lot more.

  • Statistically the burns box offers the best rate of return, but you will wind up with a lot of stuff you may not want in your town. That’s why I’ve never used the box. I buy mini nukes and jet bikes when they are in the Vault.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
  • Most of the junk can be sold, but you'll end up with a whole heap of Lard Lads from Burns Boxes !!

Either way I just hide it behind buildings

and the Lard lads earn cash so it helps with farming in another way

I just completed removing over 100 hidden tennis courts, as I can finally afford to replace that bonus value with mini nukes. Very happy to reclaim all that space, so future redesigns will be easier as I try to squeeze in more buildings. I have no idea where I’ll be putting new castles if this next event brings more. I really don’t want to start with the “more land” cries, but it’s getting cramped here! 😆
