I tried removing my roads, the snakes just seemed to go where they wanted to, though..

I actually deliberately keep stuff away from the top of my blocks to make things easier to see. Probably saved some sanity with my friends, that and keeping my blocks fairly even. Just a general good rule of thumb.

some snakes do seem to have a mind of their own, thats why I hate house farms cuz some of them wander back thru them. But most of them tend to stick to the roads.

Yeah, I removed mine and then put them back since it didn't seem to matter. Snakes just went where they wanted to anyway.
