Reset passwords?

Anyone else have EA reset your password the last couple days? I have 2 accounts (one of which I abandoned a while ago) with 2 separate email addresses and two separate passwords (which I also use different passwords for each site I use) yet both accounts passwords were reset. One was sent yesterday and then one today. I was just wondering if anyone else had this happen recently. Just seems weird it happened to both accounts in about 24 hours time...

Yes mine made me reset as well.

I was thinking that... but seriously what’s the chances someone tried to break into both? Like I said, I am careful, I use unique passwords for every site I use... and both had different email addresses. It just seemed weird to me...

Here's a follow up question.
How often do you change your Password?
I changed mine recently, so i haven't had any issues. This might (and hopefully is) just an added security measure to prevent the loss of info.

But don't quote me on that.

Mine reset too. But I thought it was because Yahoo had a small breach and it was a precaution to reset everything associated with it. Just my thoughts on it.

Was forced to change my password too. I came here first and did the reset. That sent me an official email from EA.

I changed it a few months back. Someone else mentioned there was a yahoo breach, and although I don’t use yahoo mail, maybe that has something to do with it? I’m not sure...

Most of the stuff I’ve read in recent years seems to suggest that regularly changing one’s password does little to enhance security. The better guidance is to make each password you use both strong and unique. This from one source:

Yes, I was prompted to sign in, but they kept telling me I entered an incorrect PW.
I changed it and all is well.

I had this happen 3 weeks ago, but it didn't send me the email to reset, even though I requested it 3 times. Ending up requesting EA call me, they did 2 hrs later and helped me to reset it.

Mine reset, too, but only one account of three.

I have two level verification and literally get upwards of 5-6 text a day with a Russian name 😡.
