Should i buy Wizard Martin?

He seems like an economical donut purchase to help battle beasts and speed the grind along...
but is he worth it?
Does he have any wand making tasks outside of battles?
it seems like we need more characters who can take down these beasts and trolls

I bought him. He doesn't have any event tasks besides helping to fight monsters but he's 1/3 the cost of Angelica Button while earning the same amount of event currency (and wielding the same premium amount of magic) and the skin will continue to earn at a premium rate when in use after you're done using him for the event.
  • I haven't bought him because there's no point really, the event so far is quite easy but if you haven't got Angelica Button then I'd say get him as you would have 4 people fighting the monsters.
Often hiding, annoying and throwing pancakes at tapped-out.co.uk
  • and the skin will continue to earn at a premium rate when in use after you're done using him for the event.

Earn what at a premium rate?
By the way, after the event can you still run tasks with the Halloween skin, if so are there any pluses to it?

they should've made angelica button free to start off the event... otherwise, meh

He will earn in-game cash and XP at a premium rate. Basically, while Martin is wearing his wizard skin, he earns like a premium character rather than a standard one.

If you can log in 4 times a day faithfully for the duration of the event then you probably don't need a premium skin or character. If you can't, I'd say pick him up just in case.

    thanks for the advice!
  • I insta bought him. No idea why or how much he cost. It is nice to have an extra character working, in hindsight probably not worth the cost.

As the acts progress we will most likely obtain more characters that can take down these trolls. I'm not sure if the Unicorn Wizard can, but hopefully he will.

    As for after the event?
He has an awesome joint task with comic book guy where they fight on the roof of the comic book shop.

Other than that pretty meh. Just regular Martin with a wizard hat and cape, visually pretty bland.

I believe that is affirmative on the Unicorn Wizard question.

Cool, the first character/skin released in an act will usually help out with the event. However don't have it yet so am not 100% certain. That confirmation will make the taming of the other monsters much easier.
  • He has a great 24h visual. His 4h is good, too, but requires CBG.
Here is my signature. Or maybe it's not.

I don't mind the tandem jobs nearly as much as others do so that wasn't a factor for me. Others may have an issue with it though.
