Cauldron tortoises

Where are most of the tortoises found? I only seem to find 10 to 15. I use to find 10 times more for some reason.

Replies

  • The bigger your town, the more they spread out.

Then I won't get many, in such short amount of time!

    Roads.

If you limit your roads to the cauldrons location you'll start to see quite a bit.
  • I used to regularly get 200-250, but then they changed the way it works so now I only get around 20

How could you possibly get that many? My record is 159, and that's from my #3 town that was tiny when we first got it - and by tiny I mean it was about 4 screens of land.
I have the perspective of having 3 towns so I could see the difference by town size. All 3 of my towns have limited streets and I placed the cauldron right near them. My #1 town was biggest so I saw the fewest there. My #2 town was a bit smaller, so I caught a few more. My number 3 town was tiny so I couldn't keep up with them - the street would still be full when the timer ran out.
My towns have grown drastically since then and now I clear the patch of street near the Cauldron, then go hunting for more.

Me too, I think it was a glitch, that when we tapped one, it counted more than it should have, but it was much more fun. I think they fixed the bug or whatever, cuz ever since, I can barely get any. I just played and only found 5, & time was up.
  • There was a glitch that allowed turtles to be multi tapped if you were quick enough. That has now been fixed so now I find 25-30 to be pretty normal.
  • I tap turtles until the pepper is close to running out, then hit the back arrow on the top left of the screen and get 600+ turtles. If I don’t have time to even tap those few, I just hit the back arrow and get around 500, the XP and a chance at a prize. I’ve received many Elder Gods as well.
Before you hit start, let the turtles gather, saves the frustration of searching too far.

How does hitting the back arrow help get 600+ turtles?
Whoa, whoa, whoa – I only accept cash, bitcoin, or GameStop stock.

I hit the back arrow when the time was close to running out and it didn't show how many turtles I got -- but I did get my first Lightup elder god and I've only had the insanity game for like 2 weeks.

  • Even if you got 200, the payout isn't significant. I play for the bonus prizes, some of which have multipliers. Love the sugarcane fields for my farm.
Make Nightmare Pile like Zombie Sandwich. All kids trick or treat at once.

    Thanks for the info.

Wow! Ok, thanks a lot... I will try that!

I must be doing something wrong then, all I've ever gotten since I acquired it in the classic mini games event is a couple of pumpkin patches and a couple of hieroglyphic walls.... haha...

Can't complain though... at least I've got the chance of playing the mini-game now, so I never know when I might hit something.... Plus besides that, the rocket gave me a nuke within the first couple of days and it had already given me a topiary then followed it up with another one a couple of days later... all good :)
  • I never play that game anymore. I always Start the game and press the back arrow immediately. You get the random prizes regardless of playing through or not. I've been having good luck lately too - I got three elder gods since the event started!

    Sounds good too, thanks.

How long can you let the turtles build up, before hitting start?

  • I mean if you can repeatedly tap 20-30 tortoises in the 30 second timeframe; you're doing fine, IMO.
