My game screen blacked out, and the opening trailer started playing?!?

So about an hour ago i was in my town and playing, then out or nowhere my town faded into a blackscreen and from there the opening trailer came up and started playing.
As soon as the opening trailer started i closed the app and went to the home screen, I then double tapped the home button and hard closed the game, i opened it up and everything went as expected. I came to the origin screen, clicked to continue and my town loaded up at exactly as it had been before. Wondering if any1 else has experinced this?
I have no idea why this happened i didnt do anything different from usual. Seems totally random.
