When you purchase the licenses to operate magic....what exactly are the extra rewards?

With the License to Operate Magic you get double your rewards for visiting friends towns. So instead of 1 fairy dust and 2 Goblin Gold per goblin you would instead get 2 dust and 4 gold per goblin. Getting a license is best done at the start of an act to get the maximum benefit from it. Also keep in mind it only helps you during the event and not much help at that. With that said this is one item that is HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED by pretty much everybody. It really is far better to look at characters, monsters, and/or buildings that help with an event if you feel you need a boost and you actually have something to show for it after the event.

If I remember correctly the license goes down in price at the start of a new act.

Yes, you are correct. Its 90 donuts to start, 60 for act 2 and 30 for act 3. Probably the only thing in life that becomes a bigger rip off as it gets cheaper!

Unless you have loads of donuts to spare, it’s practically pointless.
If they considered 90 neighbour taps like they used to instead of the present 45 it might be useful.
