It'll be funny on May 10th when they give us zero. EA has never been that generous, why start now?

They did win worst company worldwide for the year didn't they? Maybe they're trying to improve their credibility.

Edit: I shouldn't say 'win' lol, nobody wants to win that

Seems too generous for EA. Has this been in the code since the first WD update? I ask because I was wondering how EA would "make it up" to us that the first four or five days were so glitchy. But I assumed that was the motivation behind the dozen donuts we recieved recently.

Hope it's not related to the story-lines, I've been ignoring quests for Gynamist Lisa, the ballpark, etc to keep those characters doing tasks that yield snakes.

I may be off a bit on the science, McTattie...EA might throw people under 5000snakes a bone. It might be more like this:

1-4999 snakes gets 30 donuts (so must have at least started Whacking Day)
    5000-9,999 gets 75 donuts
    10,000-14,999 gets 150 donuts
    15,000-19,999 gets 200 donuts
    20,000+ gets 250 donuts

So I stand to get 200 donuts.....somehow I just don't see this happening.

It would be awesome but I really do not see them giving away this many donuts. Maybe remove the zeroes on the end.

My prediction is that Homer shows up and says "Congratulations! You just wasted 900 hours of your life and have carpal tunnel."

(Bet you guys didn't know that I like to serve up sarcasm every now and then as a side dish? LOL)

250 donuts is higher than any single premium prize offered. However, if there is a super secret bonus on May 10, mwdalton gets major props. Nobody that I have seen has put the "super secret bonus" and the fact that whacking day is on May 10 (with the event ending on May 9) together. We can only hope. Currently, I am only on track to get maybe one or two whacking bonus boxes.

I was thinking about all of this and came up with an idea...maybe the donuts will be distributed through a game similar to the bonus rounds (pick one of 5 boxes or something).

It would be ironic if people stopped trying to get snakes after 12,500 because the prize boxes only have a crummy 1-3 donuts, or $750-$1000 cash...and then this "Super Secret Bonus" gets revealed at the very end. I bet some people would be kicking themselves if they could have gotten the full 250 donuts, but because they stopped trying, they only got 75 donuts...

I can only speak for myself, I will stop whacking snakes immediately after the sleazy motel. A 175 donut bonus is $15 worth of donuts, a much smaller amount than my medical bills will be healing my broken index finger. I'm still at a financial gain by not playing the boxes.

Allow me to quote punkymcmilli who just posted a new topic:
Just caught sideshow bob for like the 30th time in 2 weeks. He said catch me 1 more time to release the super secret bonus? Tried to search threads but can't find nothing on this. Anyone else get this, receive the super secret bonus?

    http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/9468331.page

Could this be the super secret bonus donuts?

No, that thread is just silly, I've caught Sideshow Bob way more than 30 times, and nothing.

My point exactly, that amount of donuts is not worth very much in the grand scheme of things, but would make a nice little bonus to people who either played the event heaps (and are obviously addicted to the game, and more likely to buy more donuts in the future once they get an intial taste), or already spent donuts on logs and the elite licence and stuff.

It just starts sounding weird, like if the lead EA programmer on this is a god-like figure "We have whacked your snakes, does this please you? We have sacrificed our jobs in your name, will you reward us with donuts?"

Well, I've finally finished building the Sleep-easy Motel, and I got my first whack box. Like most, I'll slow down now, and if I get some boxes, good, if not, oh well. It'll be interesting to see if we have a twist ending! But even for 250 donuts, I'm not gonna expend too much effort.

P.S. Wow, a lot of people voted for Me being crazy! Lol, ouch :lol:

We're getting closer and closer to the 9th, and, subsequently, the 10th. There may be no bonus at the end, but if there is, will you be stiffed on extra donuts because you gave up on whacking too early?
