The Egg Dropper's Dilemma...

My Egg buddy is a bit behind due to work so i'm currently just dropping off to him, but if he completes it with time to spare i'll drop off eggs with the lowest egg count / nearest to next prize.

I've been trying since day one of the event. I'm still only at 3000+ snakes. I tried dropping eggs and whacking in my neighbors towns, but I rarely get anything in return. I played/play 3-4 times a day, still don't understand what I did wrong. I got less eggs dropped to me as the event went on, by April 15 my town barely got anything from friends, maybe 5 eggs.

I was just thinking about this earlier. I was thinking of helping to boost those that are in range of the end. I've just cleared the 10k mark myself and should be able to clear 12.5k with the same level of effort. But I've stopped dropping in towns that are no longer collecting eggs and towns with the hotel. I'm focusing on anyone who has shown the effort to get close but just out of reach. But also dropping in the 3+k towns that still look active (characters doing snake tasks, decorated, eggs cleaned up, etc.). Maybe that's mean, but some people have clearly put in the effort/donut money and others have not. And if you have it all, it's just bonus anyways.

I been trying to spread the love between differnt towns but sadly I rarely get any eggs in return. I just hit 7500 a few minutes ago and with all the differnt problems I been running into with vanishing snakes/eggs I honestly don't think I will get the last stadium in time with out major help. This event they really went out of thier way to force people into spending doughnuts to complete everything that or spend hours apon hours just to get everything done.

Which is me, but some people still keep leaving eggs in my town. It's one thing if they leave them as initials or names or something to encourage me to send some extras their way. But one person dropped 50 eggs in a big random mess. I can't identify them from that. My motel is right near where you come into my town, as is a sign saying "No" with an egg shaped shrubs.

With my 2 trunks, 2 logs and 3 rocks, I'm probably going to clear 22,500 as it is vising only a handful of towns per day, even without any eggs from neighbors.

I spent most of the update trying to be generous and left several eggs in every town...but now I wish I hadn't cause no one would leave any in mine. So now I'm hoarding eggs and exchanging them with individual people in hopes I can get all the prizes.

That's really nice that some of you are dumping eggs in towns close to 12500 to help them over the hump. I'm at 8500 and fear that I won't get there by the end, unfortunately looks like most of my friends stopped playing after Christmas so there have not been a lot of eggs being dropped off on in my town. Kudos to you guys who are helping others.

6 eggs for anyone who isn't at Bare chested Willie
5 Eggs for those with Bare chested Willie but not the colisum
4 eggs for those with the coliseum
0 eggs for those with the sleep easy and the 2 towns that aren't playing

Double allocations for my real friends and 3 favorites. they will get left over eggs. I will continue until the end of whacking day to help my friends as much as possible.

Of my 38 friends (as of Wednesdays visit I didn't visit everyone last night)
4 are have the sleep easy
2 aren't playing whacking day
5 have the colisium but not the sleep easy
4 are working towards the coliesum
8 are working towards bare chested Willie
13 are not at the pet snake between the statue and pet snake
2 don't have the statue (I think I will not make additional efforts to help these two).
Ideally all my friends who play will get the duff stadium)


Also my friends I don't need anymore eggs I'm only 700 snakes off the sleep easy so I'd rather your eggs go to people who need them

I was leaving 5-10 in every town I visited, then I decided to try an egg buddy.
This was a fail, he dropped the first 25, I did also. We made the deal so I dropped the next 300... never saw him again

I think I misread the visit a friends town memo wrong.. i thought we were all supposed to do drops.
But currently get btwn 5-10 eggs a day from friends (thats the total not individual,I know, I dont know them so why would they drop)
Now only do drops of 2-5 eggs depending on what level of the game they are... Low levels get 5, higher get 2.
I cant use the eggs, so still do drops

I tend to drop some eggs where they haven't reached the hotel or coliseum (since I haven't reached those either) and seem active in the event.. the rest I would trade with an egg buddy. And the amount I drop really depends on my mood and how much I think they need them. Very arbitrary i know but I still need the eggs to reach the coliseum (the sleep eazy maybeeeee (at 9000 snakes now but can't really play much next week)) so hopefully that doesn't sound too selfish of me :roll: .

I like data... Spreadsheets are easy (unless they are badly put together like the one I am using at work).

I can't think it's mean 'cos I'm at 7200 eggs.

I did stop having the characters do the snake tasks 'cos they take so long for so few snakes, and I really need money to buy land and buildings.

I've been helping a friend who's new, but even the smaller prizes would be fun, and he's really working at it.

In the beginning I dropped eggs for everyone, but got so few in return that I divided them between my top 10 friends, the ones I know from the forum. (that includes you, bananabailey) :-) . But when I saw they were well on their way or had the motel, I moved to helping my friend who is the new player.

P.S. bananabailey, PM me if you want some eggs. I'll be happy to give you some. btw, someone left a big bunch of eggs for me and I'd love to know who!

I haven't gotten eggs from my friends but I do try to help those around 10,000. They are going to need a little help finishing from this point on so Ive given them a few hundred at a time. I supply three of my neighbors in particular that are really trying. Everyone else gets a hand ful in a smily face pattern... Personally, I am glad to be done...
