Has TSTO jumped the shark?

Huh?
Iron Man 3 was a great movie. It wasn't as good as the first, but it was better than the second and still better than a lot of films that come out these days.
As far as the Simpsons go. What? "Lose its feeling"? What does that even mean? It's just as fun as it was on Day 1, especially since they're adding a deeper pool of characters and buildings.

I think this game has only begun.
There is still definitely a lot of characters and buildings yet to be released.
My 3D imagination is in high gear as well
My sister has like 10 friends, and hasn't hit 10k and my brother has like 4 friends and also hasn't hit 10k (but he spent a ton on donuts leveling up the snakes). Neither want randoms, so they know it's their own fault.
Much as I'm enjoying it overall another Whacking Day-like event and I'll move on to another game for the commute. Oh, and Whacking Day? Hardly a day lol. Oxymoron if ever there was one.
Pointing out that the phrase "jumped the shark" has "jumped the shark" has itself, "jumped the shark".
Seriously, I just want to get rid of my stupid eggs and get the minimum number of snakes so I can stop, and I play this thing way more than casually. While trying to give people my eggs, itself a form of tedium bordering insanity, I keep racking up yet more eggs I can't get rid of.
This is the first event I really felt like I had to spend real cash to complete, from the hundreds of donuts on snake-boosting decorations to probably having to dump a few hundred donuts into the last prize. It bites knowing they intentionally designed it this way too, rather than just letting it be a fun little event players could get some freebies on.
+2
This is a good point, we got a few of the buildings people wanted, Stadium, Colosseum and the Sleep Eazy motel. Only other highly requested buildings left are the courthouse, the apartment blocks and the Frying Dutchman oh and the mall. however they decide to handle that.
And the DMV
As for TSTO? I am burned out a bit after this update. I got all the prizes and I let out a sigh of relief and my play time dropped considerably which never happened after Halloween or Christmas. I just feel like this update was very time consuming BUT the prizes were great and it was a fun update. Maybe next time, just try to make it so the egg dropping was easier to do and had more incentive to give to multiple friends instead of just finding an egg buddy.
I never sped anything up nor did I use donuts to get prizes faster. It was all work on my end.
At the end I ended up with...
2 new characters
4 new buildings
2 new skins
A few new decorations
All for free
The majority of people complaining & whining are the ones who want everything handed to them for free or with little to no effort.
**Iron man spoilers**
I'm sorry, but it's easy to see why any fan of the series would be disappointed in the film. It wasn't just that they ruined Iron Man's arch rival, it's everything that went along with that. The forced jokes to make it more accessible, the standard movie clich?s, the devaluing of the armours' significance as they're turned into drones. So while it's not a bad film, it's a bad Iron Man film.
This review sums it up nicely:
The Mandarin isn't ruined when you realize that the guy who was the Mandarin for most of the movie was simply a mouthpiece for the real one behind the scenes.
The Iron Man films have always had a sense of humor.
The House Party? That was one of Stark's crowning achievements. A series of Iron Man armors that could be remotely piloted for an emergency situation such as this. If you consider what happened to him during The Avengers it would make perfect sense for him to want to develop something that could eventually replace humans in the next big calamity.
This is what I'm talking about. People review the film incorrectly using the Iron Man comics as some kind of excuse. It was actually pretty accurate, if not taking the whole Extremis and making it into ONE movie. Even Maya's character recently had an unfortunate turn in the new comic, and in the movie? Well, they got lucky with that one matching up.
My point is, people watch Iron Man with some weird critical eye based on something that isn't even accurate. They don't read the comics, but they assume the movies is wrong when it isn't. Marvel movies will always have humour and be more light hearted... but that's great because Marvel comics are that way to begin with. DC is the dark side.
Nothing wrong with the humour, it's part of what makes the films so great. But when you're in the middle of an action scene a guy just goes"I don't even like working here, they're weird" and runs out it detracts from the film imo, the balance was off. If you compare it with another Shane Black, Downey film, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, you can see the very clear similarities however the tone of that movie is set right from the start and the outrageous comedy is to be expected, when you've had 2 IM films and 4 other films and all of a sudden you take such a dramatic change, fans of the series will pick up on it, some will like it, others will hate it. And again really, anyone but The Mandarin, almost as bad as Fox's Galactus. What's next, Thanos changes his mind and decides he doesn't love death anymore and that everyone should just be friends and get along and the end of Avengers 2? I don't even care that they didn't follow the Extremis story line.
