Well, it's a bit of a mystery. There are some things you can place on it, frozen things, etc. But, we don't yet know what happens to the ice or the items on the ice once the Winter Event is over the the snow has melted.
Make Nightmare Pile like Zombie Sandwich. All kids trick or treat at once.
Thanks, Y'all. I haven't yet, placed my ice, where I want it, but I am thinking, I will place it after the event, to see what happens. They may just take whatever you place on the ice, when it is over.
List of things I’ve been able to place on ice.
Ice castle (with Martin animation)
Frozen Flanders car
Every SNOW sculpture, but not the ice sculpture for some reason: couch gag, Homer, Marge, Lisa, Maggie, Bart, Grampa, pets
Large Pile of Snow (AKA, huge snowman)
Winter King’s Cave

What else?
Ski Chalet and chair lift, but for some reason not sugarloaf mountain (the gondola thing that looks like a chair lift)..

Would be nice if the ice statues stay solid on the ice tiles after the snow is gone.

I love this. Also, and I know this is a stretch, but it would be really cool if you could place buildings on the ice, and the buildings would display their winter skin while on ice.
I just want 1000s of them since only a few isn't going to work for me....they should have never even bothered if they weren't going to make it a permanent tile....instead they made the tiles similar to the tracks for the monorail so you got to have 100s or thousands or else what is the point? Why cant it be like the dirt? I mean....what were they thinking???? since when is ice an "item"?????
~Always be Designing~
Don't increase the Item Limit? Then I don't play. Period.
Other items that go on ice (which I haven’t seen mentioned yet):
-Egg Nog Bar
-Peak Inn
-Jesus’ Carpentry Shop
-Rigellian North Pole
-Rigellian Christmas Manger
-Ice Skating Rink
-Large Snowy Hill
-Small Snowy Hill
-Candy cane fences
-Rigellian Christmas fences
-Christmas Columns
-Poinsettias
-Gum Drop Rocks
-Lollipop Flowers
I’m sure there are more, but I haven’t really tested anything else.
Why didn't they just give us a freaken snow tile like we asked for? Ice? Buildings on a frozen lake? I don't get it.
I agree with you about the snow tiles as I'd have preferred them myself, but what I really can't understand is why they decided to limit the number of ice tiles that are available, I just can't see the logic behind it.
Tiles are shown on the left when in edit mode:
A few small items that can go on ice tiles:
Funny, I can't place them over ice.....what am I doing wrong???
I was going to say that. I cannot place the Lisa or Marge snowmen on the ice. But I can place the Grandpa, Santa's Little Helper and Snowball snowmen on the ice.
Trying to control the horizontal & the vertical. Do not adjust your TV.
I recall that there are actually two types of some of the snowmen - some were craftable and do not have a multiplier, while others where purchased with donuts and do have a multiplier. Is it the case that one set can be placed on ice but not the other?
