LMAO! I snorted while drinking some of my wine. Happily, it stayed down so it wasn't wasted.

So, since you are done (assuming) and don't need eggs, than the egg threads need to go away. People are trying to complete their whacking day task. They feel making new threads gives them the best odds of receiving eggs from people. And you know what, they are right. It's NOT that big of a deal. Just don't read them. Pass over them and go to the next one. You don't have to read every post on the forum you know. They will stop after the event is over.

    Stop being so selfish.

Oh, how little you know me. As my egg buddies will testify, I've been selfless in reliably trading with them and helping them achieve their goals long after I had achieved mine. And all of that help was done without the need of my buddies resorting to threads begging for more eggs. In fact, I've been helping one my throwing all my eggs his way when it looked like he wouldn't make his goal.

I don't read a single one of the egg begging threads, but all the IMPORTANT threads are lost in the clutter of **** from the beggars. That is what I'm sick of. Look at the FAQ. Can you see anything really FAQ aside from the stickies. It's even worse in Announcements. Really? Announcing I'm short on snakes? How is that an announcement?

As a long-time moderator on other forums I would never tolerate this pollution of the Announcement or FAQ forums.

But before today, the next one was the same thing, and the one after that and after that. There was maybe 1 readable thread per page.

There's an egg begging thread stickied, and that's where all the begging should go. I would say the people starting all the threads are the selfish ones.

Are our mods responsible for the FAQ and Announcement forums too? Just wondering.

Did you find your egg buddy on this forum? I'm assuming you did. Just because you were early to the game doesn't mean other people shouldn't get a chance to finish. Not everybody started at the beginning. Not everybody could play the entire time. Not everybody went the egg buddy route. Let them ask for eggs. Let them use the forum to their advantage. That's what it's for.

Yes, I got my egg buddies from the original egg buddy threads! In all honesty, I can't see egg begging as getting too many responders. Someone posting that they have eggs to give away, I can understand. But not this, "I need 1000 eggs to get to the hotel!" Don't they realize they need 1000 snakes anyway?!

Maybe I'm a pessimist after reading about folks ripping off other folks regarding egg swaps. I found it far better to get egg buddies from the original egg buddy threads and do reasonable sized exchanges than the crazy stuff I've read about, "We exchanged 50 but when I dropped 400 they disappeared," comments. Not to mention the "loss" of any accountability threads that were buried in the egg begging noise.

However, I have appreciated the "thank you" threads I've seen about folks doing the right thing and/or being generous.
