More Talking Women Characters

It's just more evidence of how misogynistic the video game industry is. Damn patriarchy.

Only characters played by the principal cast(Dan, Hank, Harry, Nancy, Julie and Yeardly) will be voiced. A majority of the women in the show are voiced by Tress Macnielle and Pamela Hayden, both of whom are not part of the principal cast.

Also the voice of Edna is Marcia Wallace, who is considered a guest star, which is why she is not voiced.

Tapped her character in one of my neighbors; sadly, she's not. :(

I just received Skinners mother today and I also have to say that I am truely disappointed that she is not voiced either. I really do not understand why EA cannot obtain the other couple of character actor voices that do many of the voices for the show. It really does limit the amount of female voice files, I mean we won't even get a sound bit from crazy Cat Lady who is one of my favorites.

I know I have to accept this because I love the game, but at the same time it is such a tease to have anyone there without a voice

But back to the fact that Springfield needs women, having over 50 male characters and only about 5 females is pretty rough!

Unfortunately Agnes is not voiced at all and personally I think that all the characters should be voiced. As far as I'm concerned its a large and integral part of the game experience and I would love to hear from Martin, Millhouse, Agnes, Miss K and Fat Tony etc.

Why this seems to be a problem for the game developers I don't know. They didn't have a problem giving voices to Luigi or Lugash or even Duffman.

Yep I totally agree, it just doesn't seem right, and although I love the game to death I just get angry when minor things are missed, let alone big things like voiceless characters. It just seems unprofessional IMO.

Come on ea, what you thinking with this brain fart.

Read our lips: if they are not voiced by the core cast of voice actors, they are guest stars and will not be voiced because of contract issues. It is not an EA issue, it is the contracts signed by the actors to Fox.

So if not voiced by Dan, Yeardley, Harry, Hank, Julie or Nancy, they will not be voiced. It is as simple as that.

And how is it impossible to make them sign a contract and invest a little bit in this game like we do? I think they should something about it...

Yeh considering the massive amount of donuts people spend on this massively popular game you would have thought EA would want to push at FOX to give those characters voices. You imagine them appearing in the show without any dialogue? It would be ridiculous :!:

They would't want to lose their contract, would they?

Largest disservice to a character so far, IMO. Her statements were always hilarious.

I agree this game needs more female characters, and it would be great if they came with sound bites.
But it seems to me that people aren't really concerned about it, and from what's been said to be contained in the raw files, EA is not very concerned about it either. It's a shame really, with some many great female characters, to only have five at this point is ridiculous.
