Don't do anything during the task. It only stops for me if I move anything or whack any eggs.

All joint tasks are a bit glitched at the moment as well as the Rich Texan's bull riding task. A lot of it seems to revolve around whacking snakes & collecting eggs. When doing these task for the moment, it's best to avoid anything to do with the snakes until you are done. Make sure that when you go into your town, the first thing you do is looks for Legs & Louie, Smithers & Burns, Agnes & CBG & The Rich Texan and complete these tasks.

Then go back to your regularly scheduled program of head cracking some snakes & taking their offspring.

If your still whacking snakes and need to do so to get to the next prize. I'd say continue to whack away and let Agnes and CBG have their date overnight while you're sleeping so it will be done when you wake up in the morning.

Also, do not move stuff around your town while on their task. That seems to affect the dual tasks as well.
