Warning Regarding Purchasing Premium Items - Ongoing Major Glitch
I have recently had the dreaded glitch where the game is made unplayable with the character heads in the top left corner not working, recycling depot, Springfield heights broken etc...

Anyway unfortunately the day before this happened I had spent 350 donuts on the St. Patricks Day Mystery Box. The only solution I had was the team to perform a roll back to before this. I agreed as I knew from the forum that this was the only way to get the game working again. However while I expected that I'd lose the 5 MB items I thought my donut total would return to how it had been at that point in time. I am now speaking to EA who are flatly refusing to do anything to address this situation. I will keep pursuing this but its not looking hopeful at this time.
Going forward I am always going to stagger purchases over the time period they're available as otherwise you may lose the lot and the sprinkles as I've found out. It may be worth everyone considering this strategy as the bug that hit me is a nightmare! If you do need a roll back your loses won't be as bad hopefully.

Make sure you are logged out of the game on every device it's installed on and get them to try the roll back again. It took two attempts for me.
Im not calling someone to fix this, if its the end its the end for me
At this stage in my life I don't have the desire to fight EA to fix my situation. In the past any glitch I have encountered has always been a global one (with lots of attention) and I could wait until EA fixed it for everyone but, due to the lack of posts on this one, I feel it's just me and a few others with this problem so, I am going to save some screenshots as a reminder of the good times and quit.

You are not on you're own, since the launch of this mini event I've had my game rolled back twice (with a loss of donuts each time) and it's also supposed to have been fixed by a game specialist and was fine last night at 10pm(UK GMT), I logged back in again this morning only to find the whole thing start yet again so in less than a week I've been hit with this glitch 4 times now and I just can't be bothered to try and get it rolled back/bodged yet again then start to play while fully expecting it to go bad again in a few hours, it's been a great game that I've thoroughly enjoyed over the years but for me it's become time to call it a day, with that I'll say bye to my great neighbours and hope that you never have to put up with this game breaking glitch.

Sorry, of course, that you’ve had this happen to your game. But it’s interesting to note yet another case in which a player suffers this bug, gets it “fixed”, only to have it reappear. It does seem in such instances as though some underlying problem “infects” a given player’s game and that EA has yet to figure out exactly how to “cure” the condition.
Just to be a contrarian, this bug (or more precisely, the possibility of this bug occurring in my own game) is going to have zero impact on my ongoing pattern of donut purchases. If (God forbid) I get this bug, the very last thing I’m going to be worried about is having lost some donuts.
Do you however make a lot of free donuts?
I farm some, but not a lot. I’m certainly not in the same league as some forum users. And I occasionally throw a few ducats EA’s way even when I don’t have to just to support the game.
