Warning Regarding Purchasing Premium Items - Ongoing Major Glitch

  • I've logged back in this morning and the bug is back. Think this may be the breaking point for me. I cannot be bothered spending ages on the phone again when there's no guarantee that it won't just happen again. Sad that such a major problem hasn't been addressed.

    You are not on you're own, since the launch of this mini event I've had my game rolled back twice (with a loss of donuts each time) and it's also supposed to have been fixed by a game specialist and was fine last night at 10pm(UK GMT), I logged back in again this morning only to find the whole thing start yet again so in less than a week I've been hit with this glitch 4 times now and I just can't be bothered to try and get it rolled back/bodged yet again then start to play while fully expecting it to go bad again in a few hours, it's been a great game that I've thoroughly enjoyed over the years but for me it's become time to call it a day, with that I'll say bye to my great neighbours and hope that you never have to put up with this game breaking glitch.

    Sorry to hear this man.. You woyld think EA would realize that since they are losing players due to this, they're losing money due to itb and would be at least somewhat inspired to fix it. Ive never seen a company who doesnt mind losing business like they do!

  • My policy of never spending penny 1 on this game seems to have been justified. No-one from EA is stepping up.

    Sorry to see you go.. This glitch has also happened twice to me, with roll backs incurring massive donut loss and event progress. I have to say, if it happens again, I'd also be hanging up my tsto boots.. It's high time EA took notice of such a major issue.
  • I've been dealing with this glitch since Thursday and I'm still waiting for them to roll back my game. I'm falling further and further behind in the current event and hope this isn't the end. After reading all the posts about it I'm starting to lose hope that it will be permanently fixed.
  • I'll hazard a guess- could it be affecting those of us that have Duff Gardens? When was it originally released? I was fortunate enough to be one of the lucky ones that bought it immediately before the offer disappeared for most users.

    I don’t think so. I’m one of those users, but I’ve not been a victim of this rather horrifying glitch.

    Don't think so.... I just fell victim to the glitch and did not have Duff Gardens.... although the glitch caused that Gil Deal to reactivate and gave me a chance to buy it.

    Disappointed to see it's been happening to people for well over 6 months now with no true resolution. Would rather they push an event for a week or two and put their dev's on task to fixing this before it starts taking out even more people.

    Very frustrating to say the least.
  • Give us and the developers some down time EA! They can fix the bugs, we can build up our towns a bit.

    I do not have Duff Gardens and it is the Gil offer that popped up after all the past event notifications popped up and the glitch happened. No idea if it means anything. But ive had the glitch for 2 days now nothing changed. Deleted the app this morning, there went 3 or so years of playing religiously. Kinda nice breaking free though

    I think it is connected to the Gil's Duff Garden offer. I didn't receive the offer at first and wondered why as I saw it pop up on the forum. After playing the St. Patrick's Day mini-event and purchasing my fair share of Patty Day Mystery Boxes the past mini event pop-ups appeared after I logged in (3rd time on that day). After the pop-ups were gone the Gil Deal appeared.

    So my guess is that they used old code for the Gil Deal which interacts strangely with the mini event? I'm not a programmer and don't really understand that kind of stuff. So it's far from an educated guess...

    BTW my town is still broken (last workable 03/09).

    I think you’re overgeneralizing based on your own experience. Remember that this bug has been around since Summer 2017.

    or perhaps it's your policy that keeps bugs from being fixed. Hope you've enjoyed the free ride at our expense.
  • Received a response from EA help this morning...they acknowledged the bug as something many other users have reported and they assured that a dev team is diligently working on a fix. Was asked to be patient while they work through it and was told by the rep in the email that I could have a rollback if I wished.... based on what others have said here I am inclined to wait for the patch but wanted to confirm with the community if this was a long standing commitment on EA'S part to fix or if I should just bite it and take the rollback...
