Well, as predicted by others here, those that are rolling back or have rolled back to fix the bug issue, I have recently been informed by the EA Studio Team that an unfortunate side effect of the rollback is that you will not be able to retain donuts bought, earned or other... I have been stuck at the same number of donuts since my game was rolled back to 8 March 2018 on Monday 12 March. I tested the theory to be 100% certain by doing rat trap trucks and sure enough I earned 15 donuts went to Krustyland and was immediately reset back to the rollback date.
I did EA call back spoke to a nice, knowledgeable person and was told they are aware of the past event bug and the side effect of the rollback fix but can only offer to rollback again (not advised), take a 1 time donut credit for lost donuts, or wait for the patch.☹
I have opted for the patch which basically means I have no ability to earn/buy donuts and actually keep them. Which means I am to believe that there is actually something going to happen sooner than later. Which means I'm extremely gullible.
Not gullible. Definitely never spending another dime on this or any other EA game. Very poor way to handle a situation that potentially leaves EA liable.
Edit- There seems to be yet another unexpected side effect of this newest issue... this one might be in our favor...

Yep, I can confirm this. I was also rolled back to March 8th on Wednesday 14th. I noticed quite fast that I kept losing every single donut I gather. I immediately contacted EA, and found myself in a Limbo. First they took it as a feedback, and did nothing. After a while Help Desk started giving me 20 donuts for my troubles, and I kept asking them to fix my game. After a bunch of back-and-forth emails, they said that they can't give me anymore donuts. I wrote them that I never wanted donuts, but just them to escalate this case and fix my game.
Well, today I got an email that said something like "You know that false claims are punishable, and may result in closing your account". I answered that I've never asked a single donut, and please could you fix my game. Well, finally after that I got the familiar email that starts with "You're in good hands". I guess it got escalated, and they hopefully fix this soon.
I dunno, this is exhausting, and game isn't fun anymore with all these troubles. I've suffered for the now trending "recent issues" -bug for some 5 months already, and now this. And btw, this disappearing donuts thing has also happened before. I think last time was also right after a rollback.
